Crema's Take

Three Hearts is a pastry-forward coffee shop where the croissants—especially the curry and cranberry orange varieties—genuinely justify the hype, backed by skillfully pulled espresso drinks that let quality shine through simplicity. The counter-service setup keeps things moving despite the perpetual crowd, and the compact space radiates the kind of care that shows up in every detail, from latte art to plating. If you're in Tacoma and want excellent laminated pastries with your coffee, this is the move; just don't expect a sprawling seating situation.

What to expect

Espresso-focused. A slow-sit, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu.

New favorite place in Tacoma! The pastries are incredible!! The cranberry orange danish is out of this world! I had the breakfast hash and loved it. Atmosphere is so cute - there’s not a ton of seating though. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Stopped by on a Thursday around 8am. After looking over the menu, stepped up to the counter to place our order. Cappuccino was quite good with a nice flower design poured into the surface with milk. Waited about 20 mins for our breakfast order. Two scrambled eggs were not…
