Second State Coffee

One of the best lattes I’ve had in a while. I got a hot almond milk brown sugar latte and a banana bread. The bread was quite good. I also really like the ambiance: quiet, bright, and welcoming.

Loved it - very local feeling to it. Off the hustle and bustle of the retail and tourists. Excellent oat milk Capp. and Italian style espresso. Both were perfection.

Friendly and quick baristas and consistently good drinks. I love the almond milk matcha! They also have really yummy pastries and baked goods Plenty of seating options inside and a couple tables outside as well. Always good music and there’s lots of plants and sunlight to start your day off right! Right near Colonial Park too so it’s a perfect spot to hit on a walk.

Hands down the best coffee we had during our trip to Charleston—and we tried quite a few spots! The latte was perfectly made and so flavorful. The staff were friendly and made the place feel genuinely welcoming, like stopping by a friend’s house for coffee. Cozy vibe, great service, and amazing coffee—highly recommend if you’re in the area!

A charming, authentic coffee shop in Charleston’s historic district. The coffee is of good quality. The design is very simple, but bright and clean. It’s a bit cramped, but the great coffee makes up for it. I recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
