Thai House
911 Winchester Rd, Lexington, KY
Crema's Take
“This unassuming strip mall gem delivers authentic Thai heat and speed that keeps locals coming back—order your drunken noodles with a "very very spicy" request in Thai and watch the kitchen prove they take it seriously. The Pad Thai here is executed with real care (cashews, crispy edges, proper balance), and the genuinely helpful servers will steer you toward hidden gems like their stir-fried Brussels sprouts with crispy pork while cheerfully accommodating vegetarian swaps across the menu. It's the kind of place where quick grab turns into a genuine meal experience, with a 4.7-star reputation that feels earned rather than inflated.”

Ordered drunken noodles, thai hot, and they were ready within 5-10 minutes. I decided to ask for the heat level to be very very spicy(in thai) and they definitely delivered. One of the best dishes I have had with with great heat, my ears are still ringing!! 10/10 will definitely get again.
The Thai House on Winchester Road in Lexington is the kind of place you might drive past without noticing—just another small spot tucked into a nondescript strip mall. Step inside, though, and you’ll find some of the best Thai food Lexington has to offer. The atmosphere is simple, even barebones: block walls, chairs, and Christmas lights in the windows. What makes the place shine isn’t décor, but authenticity, freshness, and consistently warm service. The food is remarkable. Crab rolls arrive with the crab settled at the base, topped with cheese, then wrapped—an extra touch that sets them apart. The drunken spaghetti was a standout, using Western-style noodles instead of the usual rice or egg noodles. That change gave the dish more body and a slightly Americanized feel, while still honoring the spice and balance of Thai cooking. The papaya salad was crisp, vibrant, and seasoned perfectly. A word on heat: the “Thai hot” creeps up on you. At first, it feels toned down, almost mild. But by the fifth bite, the burn builds, sweat beads, and your eyes water. And yet you keep going, reaching for that sixth bite because it’s just that good. The Thai House proves that appearances deceive—humble outside, extraordinary at the table.
Absolutely amazing food and most dishes can be made vegetarian. The server was very delightful and recommended dishes that are popular. He really made our experience eating here top-tier! The food is reasonably priced and large portions. Here’s a pic of vegetable pad Thai and mango sticky rice for dessert. Their Thai Tea was very delicious too! We will definitely be back! I included pics of the current menu and pricing as we couldn’t find this online.
Oh my word this is incredible 26. Pad Thai!!!! Chicken with added cashews THIS is how you do pad Thai. Thank you. Truly incredibly delicious. Service was wonderful as well. Clean restaurant, clean restroom. Moved to west coast and no one knows how to make Thai food out there. It's greasy and radioactive orange. So nice to come visit and enjoy pad Thai done correctly. Was so great to got some to go on my way to the airport leaving Kentucky.
New Thai restaurant in Lexington has the same owner as Thai House in Georgetown. We ordered beef noodle soup, stir-fried Brussels sprouts with crispy pork, and stir-fried egg noodle with fried pork. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. We will be back.
