Crema's Take

This beloved Kalamazoo spot has earned its loyal following with genuinely excellent comfort food—think pillowy biscuits and gravy, three-cheese mac that keeps people coming back for years, and salads that surprise with quality ingredients like candied walnuts and brie—all served in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere where the staff treats you like family. Whether you're settling in for a slow coffee and pastry, hosting a meeting, or bringing the whole family for a full breakfast, the warm vibe and thoughtful hospitality make every visit feel special rather than transactional.

I would like to start this off by saying I used to come here all the time, when they were at the previous location. I’ve been ordering their three cheese mac for about a year and a half, and it was always really good….until today. Even unrelated to the wait time, and the staff not seeming to care too much about our experience, the mac we received today wasn’t as good as it has been before. The cheese itself was not very gooey, and the (3$) chicken that I added to my mac & cheese was undercooked!!! I am Servsafe certified and work at a restaurant that serves chicken and grill chicken 6/7 days of the week, and what I received today was not cooked. I don’t know if they cook the chicken in house, or if their supplier sent undercooked chicken, but it needs to be straightened out so no one gets any food borne illness.

We stopped into The Grazing Table for lunch today, and the menu didn’t disappoint. I got the apple, Bree and candied walnut salad. It was exceptional. My friend had their cream of broccoli soup, and one of their many sandwiches. They were both extremely tasty. We will be back to try more of their menu. This is truly a hidden gem. I’m celiac and most of their menu can easily be made gluten free, with the substitution of their gluten free bread.

I've always enjoyed their coffee, but today I ate there for the first time. It was excellent!!! Kept it simple had biscuits and gravy with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon. The biscuits were light, fluffy, delicious. The gravy complemented the biscuits in a way that I can't describe. Eggs the same and the bacon was crispy done right in that perfect Goldilocks space crispy not burnt. The staff has always was incredible so do yourself a favor whenever you're in downtown Kalamazoo head down south street stop in for a special treat.

The Grazing Table is my FAVORITE place to eat in kzoo! It has everything. Amazing food. Cozy atmosphere. And the KINDEST staff. The mac n cheese is the best I have ever had, and be sure to grab a latte or mocktail while you’re in too!

We ordered a large spread for our wedding cocktail hour and it turned out amazing! They were very accommodating with the multiple allergies that myself and some guests had. They happily made the entire spread gluten and nut free and even provided my favorite GF crackers that I requested! They also provided two individually packaged cups for our vegan guests. The display looked incredible and our guests LOVED it!
