Zoom Zoom Espresso
845 Lincoln St, Bellingham, WA
Crema's Take
“Zoom Zoom Espresso is a spirited Bellingham spot where creative drinks like their signature white coffee mocha sit alongside playful breakfast creations like the "Hockey Puck" sandwich, all served by a team that's genuinely enthusiastic when they're on their game. The vibe here skews casual and quirky rather than polished—think the kind of place where you'll stumble onto a new favorite drink or grab a well-crafted breakfast bowl while walking distance from wherever you need to be. Fair warning: consistency can be uneven, but when everything clicks, the energy and personality here make it worth the visit.”

Absolutely LOVED my interaction this morning with Shelly and Crystal this morning! Crystal made my daughter a banana milkshake and Shelly turned me on to a new favorite - white coffee mocha -
This place has the weirdest energy. I used to be a semi-regular until I started making redbulls at home, but I'll still stop by when I'm feeling lazy every few months or want their neato breakfast bowl (warning about the bowl price down below). Unfortunately, whenever the older blonde with long hair is working, it's always a bad visit. I don't know if she's the owner or manager, but she's been there for awhile and is always smack talking someone when the window is open. She openly judged my drink and I wanted to tell her to just close the window if they want to s talk. I used to be a barista, I get it. You need to let some frustrations out, but if every single time I see you you're having a bad day because of your job or some customer - you need a new job. You obviously aren't happy. I also think it's bizarre if you choose between bowl versus burrito, you don't get half of the ingredients listed if you pick the bowl, and you need to pay .50 cents for the salsa even though it's listed in the item description. "Neato Burrito - black beans, chicken, green chilis, salsa, spanish rice, cream cheese, and cheddar." If you pick the bowl, you only get beans, chicken, rice, and cheese. If you choose to get salsa, you need to pay .50 cents even though they're saving on tortilla, cream cheese, and green chili costs already. All in all, weird place. I liked going here because the line is always short, but I guess what you pay in convenience, you pay in comfort (and literally pay more than you would anywhere else in Bellingham)
I used to love this place, but my last couple of visits have been disappointing. The barista was unfriendly, my bagel had barely any cream cheese on it, and the way she was dressed felt super unprofessional, like a top that looked like straight up lingerie which made me so uncomfortable. And it’s specifically THAT barista who makes food that way and dresses that way. Zoom zoom bagels used to be a treat and the service used to be really good. I’d comeback if the quality and vibe went back to what it used to be.
This place is generally pretty good, but the quality control/training could be improved. 8 times out of 10 everything is great and perfect, but every now and then things like this happen. If everyone could be brought up to make sure they're all following cooking, presentation, and preparing procedures to the same standard, it'd be perfect every single time. I have no idea the name of the girl who made my sandwich today, but she 's made things inaccurately/improperly before :/ The sandwich as I got it today definitely was not worth $7, it has less egg and sausage than normal and half the croissant is just bread, which I've never experienced before 😶 I'm not swearing off this place by any means, but if I need a sandwich quickly before work in the next couple weeks I'm gonna go to Cruzn down the street instead, it's more consistent there The older woman working today was nice, friendly, and had 1000% more personality/energy/life than the younger girl, and made me feel welcome
AWESOME breakfast place, only about 10 walking minutes away from the hotel in staying at. Purchased a "Hockey Puck" (sausage egg & cheese) on croissant, and their garlic Feta dill cream cheese on an everything bagel. Hockey puck is a great iteration of one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches. Egg was nice and soft, croissant wasn't too soft for the sandwich to fall apart (like Dunkin does, sometimes) nor too tough. Nice amount of cheese to make the sausage all come together in every delicious breakfast bite. So their garlic Feta dill cream cheese is AMAZING and if it calls out to you, get it! It's as wonderful as you are probably imagining right now and tastes even better. Creamy, wonderful garlic flavor, nice dill and you get the Feta with no flavor overpowering each other (or you). It was wondferful on an everything bagel, and I'm sure it would also be delicious on a variety of the other bagels they have. The food was ready for me in less than 5 minutes and I was nicely filled for a little under 10 dollars. The ladies working were super nice and helped me figure out what I wanted. If I'm ever passing by this area again I will surely hook my friends up with some amazing breakfast. If you live around here, go check it out!
