Walnut Cafe

Crema's Take
“This beloved Boulder independent serves thoughtfully prepared breakfast and brunch with standout hits like fluffy gluten-free pancakes and creative omelets, though execution can be inconsistent across the menu. Beyond the food, what keeps people coming back is the genuinely welcoming atmosphere and staff who make everyone feel accepted—it's known for being a warmly inclusive space where the art on the walls and community values matter as much as what's on your plate.”

The quiche was good, fruit was fresh. Banana Nut Bread was ok dense and a little dry. The Bhakti chai was so delicious. Burrito was just ok green chili had no spice. Breakfast potatoes were very good
Delicious gluten free pancakes, pesto omelette was amazing and the service was prompt and lovely! The art too was lovely and they have a free meal option for those in need. Perfect!
Not only is the food super yummy but the staff here have great personalities and love and accept everyone who comes in as they are. Very LGBTQIA+ inclusive. I love coming here. Easily one of the "Best of" in Boulder.
I ordered the veggie omelette without cheese and it had no flavor whatsoever. Even the side of spinach that it came with was bland. It was as if a bunch of ingredients were just tossed together without any real understanding of what the final taste should be like. If cheese is your only solution towards adding flavor then you have a serious problem in your kitchen and your understanding of cooking. The servers are nice however. But that's not enough for me to come back here.
I was in Boulder for a couple hours and was hungry for breakfast so I did a quick goggle search and found this place as it was close to where I was going. There were many people eating outside and there was a lot of seating inside as well. I was sat right away and ordered the Carmelita Latte and then ordered the Yo! Yo! Wrap and a side of pancake. The latte was delicious and the whipped cream tower was much appreciated! The wrap was just what I needed; it had eggs, breakfast potatoes, mushrooms, green chili, tomato and cheddar cheese and the tortilla it was all wrapped in tasted homemade. The vibe inside was really chill and I saw positive interactions between the servers which meant it was probably a pretty good place to work.
