Crema's Take

Quartyard is a vibrant San Diego gathering spot that doubles as an event venue hosting everything from Bingo Loco nights to live jazz and salsa dancing, making it as much about community and movement as it is about coffee. While their traditional drinks are reliably tasty, what really sets this place apart is the spacious outdoor patio that transforms into a lively social hub—perfect for lingering with friends, catching live music, or joining in on themed nights that keep the energy fresh and unpredictable. It's the kind of place where you're just as likely to dance as you are to sit with a good cup of coffee, all with genuinely friendly people around you.

I attended Bingo Loco on January 16. The doors opened at 5:30, so my friends and I made sure to be in line before that time to reserve enough seats for our group, immediately checking into our table. We used the QR code to place drink and food orders. I ordered chicken flautas, with my receipt stamped at 5:54 PM. The actual event did not begin until 7:00, I'm not joking when I say that not only had the event already started, but we were well into our second round of bingo before they brought out my food incorrectly. However, before they even brought my food out, the rest of my party, who arrived well past 6 o'clock, all received their food and drink orders before I did. I had asked the same server twice to check on my food, as well as another server who directed me to speak to the bartender. When I spoke to the bartender, they rudely told me that the wait for food was up to two hours for orders, not realizing I was literally one of the first 50 people to walk through the door. I finally spoke to a manager, who said she would refund my food because I requested to cancel my order. She took my name and what I purchased and promised to take care of it, as well as send the food over expedited. When my food finally made it to my table, it was incorrect; I am lactose intolerant, and the flautas had cheese on them. I informed the server that I could not eat that due to my lactose intolerance, and he asked if they should remake my food. Of course, they needed to, as I was already quite hungry and frustrated. Witnessing the event itself showed a lack of good management, as they knew how many seats they sold, yet throughout the night, they were having to build tables for people arriving for the event. It was unorganized, chaotic, and did not reflect good customer service. I left a message for the restaurant the following day, asking them to call me back, but I never received a response. I dislike leaving negative reviews, but this situation warranted one. It's unfortunate, as they host a decent number of events at this location; however, I will no longer recommend this place to my friends. Zero stars if I could give that rating.

Went for Bingo Loco. It was a great experience, but our service was not good. They didn't bring what was advertised on the menu, and then tried to say it was an extra charge, which it wasn't. They never brought it out, and then didn't even bring the drink that was paid for. As an event it was fun, but the Quartyard service was disappointing.

Great outdoor venue for parties, concerts, yoga and other activities you can think of in SD. They have food and drinks. They have seats and tables and a GA area where you can stand/dance. They also have heat lamps so it's comfy even on a chilly night.

Nice place for an outdoor free music. The drinks were tasty and the patrons were friendly. The was not impressive. We had a good time at the jazz fest.

Nice little venue. Had a blast dancing salsa and enjoyed a few drinks. The food was good as well. Wish we had a little venue like this where we live.
