Crema's Take

This Italian bakery in Hoboken excels at crafting fresh, quality ingredients into satisfying paninis and pastries, with homemade mozzarella and artisanal bread that you can actually taste the care in. Under new ownership by Carlo, it's evolved into a welcoming neighborhood gathering spot with a cozy, Italy-inspired atmosphere that's perfect for a leisurely sit-down or quick coffee break alongside something genuinely delicious. Fair warning: recent reviews suggest pricing has climbed steeply, so manage expectations around value, but the warmth of the space and the quality of the ingredients still draw loyal locals through the door.

The food was delicious and FRESH. You can notice the quality in the bread, homemade mozzarella and prosciutto. They have savory items from salads, wraps, soups and panini sandwiches. We also had their coffee it was well made and tasted great. I truly enjoyed this place will be back soon. I love how they have both sweet and salty options.

Just moved in close by and had to try the local Italian bakery. Got the pesto chicken panini with the side of chips. Both were so delicious. The new owner, Carlo, is also extremely nice and welcoming. He gave my wife and I multiple pasties to try after we told him we were new to the area. We also enjoy the coffee here. So glad they are so close and highly recommend this spot

I truly used to love Dolce. I have been a few times since ownership changes and it has gotten wildly expensive. Their lunch sandwiches are small, minimal ingredients, and about $20. I like the sandwiches but they FAR too expensive. Additionally, I ordered online for overnight oats, which I paid $10 thinking it was going to be a big and filling bowl of oatmeal and I went to pick it up and it was smaller than my hand. I absolutely cannot justify these prices.

They recently changed ownership, and unfortunately, it’s gone completely downhill. What used to be a great lunch spot is now a complete money grab with below average food. It’s not a stretch to say it’s the worst value for the price you will find in Hoboken. Pictured here is the Caprese sandwich, priced at $18 pre-tax. It was dry, tasteless, and completely unsatisfying. They didn’t even put oil/vinegar on it. No dressing whatsoever, and the bread didn’t even taste fresh. I’m a slow eater, and this sandwich went down in less than 5 minutes. I’m still hungry. Do yourself a favor and avoid this overpriced place! Plenty of better places around.

I want to share how much I enjoyed my visit to this Italian bakery. From the moment I walked in, I fell in love with the place: cozy, with a decor that transports you directly to Italy. The service was excellent; the entire staff was very friendly and attentive. And best of all: the food! I tried several desserts, and each one was delicious; the quality and care taken in each preparation was evident. Without a doubt, this is a place I would return to again and again. Highly recommended for lovers of good pastries.
