Crema's Take

Encanto Cafe is a vibrant La Jolla spot that nails the weekend brunch experience with genuinely organic food, freshly brewed specialty coffees, and a curated playlist that sets an instantly welcoming mood. The Brazilian-owned cafe shines brightest when you settle in for a leisurely sit—the atmosphere and friendly staff really reward a slower pace—though service can be inconsistent if you're just grabbing a quick coffee to go. Families and groups clearly thrive here, making it worth a visit for its combination of quality ingredients, creative drinks, and that special energy that comes from owners who actually care about the vibe they're creating.

4 shots over iced Turned into $12 Before tax. I commented that seemed too much, and the my reduced the price to around $8 per coffee. It’s clear that this place is disorganized, entitled, and mismanaged. There was no rush hour. And yes the coffees took 15mins A extra shot in a latte is cheaper. Smells like fish outside.

Only came to grab some coffee. Ordered a hazelnut latte and a vanilla cappuccino to go. firstly - service not particularly friendly and the coffee took a very long time. cafe wasn't particularly busy. Finally she called out hazelnut mocha and vanilla latte. Told her I ordered a hazelnut latte, not mocha (clearly a flavor under their latte menu) and she said, oh yes, ok hazelnut latte. I didn't believe her and asked in a different way, is there chocolate in here? Lady said no. Then I asked is this other drink a vanilla cappuccino? and she said yes. We left and drank our drinks - both were Wrong. Mine clearly had a mocha flavor and the other had too much milk to be a cappuccino. A little honesty would have been nice. We were too behind schedule to go back.

Super cute place with the best vibes! From the moment we arrived, there was a great playlist setting the mood. At the end, I found out the owner is Brazilian—which made the experience even more special 🇧🇷✨

Great place for Sunday brunch! Great atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Food was amazing. Everything is organic. Extensive coffee selection, and they are freshly brewed. Prices are reasonable for the location. Would come back for sure.

10/10 would recommend!! My husband and I and 3 young kids came here for a late breakfast and the food and drinks were incredible! We ordered breakfast croissants, quesadillas, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot chocolates for the kids and a hazelnut latte. So delicious! The staff was very friendly and the chef was accommodating to our food modifications. This place will definitely be a staple breakfast spot for us every time we visit San Diego. Thank you Encanto cafe!!
