Sleepy Dog Coffee

I would refrain from ordering the ham and cheese croissant- unless you like croissants cooked in the microwave. 😧🤨 The coffee is okay and the back room offers a quiet place to study or work.

Friendly helpful staff. We tried several pastries and a sandwich all were great. Lots of tables with cozy little alcove. The coffee is one of the best in town and the decor is really fun. Not too busy the service was fast and we found open tables.

It's a sweet little spot for hot chocolate and baked treats with a very cozy and homey feel. The muffins, bagels, and sandwiches were good and I've liked their steamers and hot chocolate. There are more tables in the back with sofas and a fireplace. The service was good with very little wait.

Sleepy Dog is the long standing local coffee shop for Eagle River! They were the first coffee shop here in Eagle River 30 years ago! The atmosphere is great for working or relaxing & the temperature is great as well. The staff was very nice and helpful! The coffee was good, I’d say 4/5 but sometimes it’s great to find a place to escape to and get work done and this is a place for exactly that.

Open for 29 years this coffee spot won’t disappoint. There is always laughter, regardless of if you choose the drive-thru or stop in to relax. Sheryl, who’s been working here since they opened and Bella both welcomed me (and everyone else who walked in) with conversion and big smiles. They are clearly happy to help their customers. The coffee is always great too! They have soups, pastries and other treats to stave off hunger and there is ample seating so you will find a place to hunker down for awhile if that is what your looking for. Eagle River is very lucky to have so many top notch coffee shops...Sleepy Dog is definitely among the best.
