Salt Lake Coffee Break

Crema's Take
“Salt Lake Coffee Break is a downtown haven that's equally at home pulling a perfect espresso at dawn or hosting late-night studiers until 1 AM, with baristas who genuinely seem to care about getting your drink right. The real showstopper is their outdoor patio—reviewers keep coming back for the rugs-adorned interior and that second-to-none seating area—making it the kind of place where you can linger with a reasonably priced cappuccino and great music, whether you're there for a quick meeting or a weekend study session. It's the rare specialty coffee shop that nails both the craft and the vibe, creating a space that feels less like a pit stop and more like your favorite local refuge.”

Great downtown coffee shop. Friendly and welcoming baristas. Early morning - late night hours. The patio is second to none and I love the rugs on the walls inside! The ONLY thing missing here that would add tremendously to the atmosphere is an electronic BUBBLE MACHINE. Various slow form bubble machines decorated and scattered about. Perhaps even a karaoke microphone doubled as a bubble machine for your musically inclined patrons. Pouring harmonizing sound toward the ceiling, intermingled with such bulbous whimsy. Done correctly this could even be a profitable investment for the owners here. Bubble Machine Karaoke lies directly on the horizon! With much appreciation for your consideration, thanks.
I love this place, love the vibes and the coffee. The coffee is reasonable priced and the music they've got on is always great. I also love coming here late at night to study on weekends. It's like the only place I can get a coffee later at night. I took off one star because the bathroom situation is pretty obnoxious. You've got to ask for a key and most the time someone else has it then it's waiting for them or hoping to see who just left the bathroom. There are two bathrooms but one of them has ben "out of order" for what seems like months and months.
Strong delicious coffee, unique treats and cozy, relaxing atmosphere. We went here as often as we could!
Good atmosphere good space overall. Good service. I ordered a cappuccino and did not taste good, was burnt and very small for the price. Also I ordered a hummus plates and was sad to say the least. Looks like a 5 year old kid put it together on a disposable plate. I will keep searching for a nice cafe in slc
Stopped by late Friday night after enjoying Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 at the Utah Symphony, and I’m so glad this place is open until 1 AM! It’s a great spot to unwind in the area. The hot chocolate was delicious—especially with whipped cream. 😉 The staff was super friendly and nice to chat with, which made the experience even better. Definitely a cozy late-night gem!
