Crema's Take

This beloved Salt Lake City spot has earned a loyal following for consistently excellent boba drinks and creative tea creations that keep customers coming back. Beyond the beverages, the kitchen shines with standout snacks like crispy popcorn chicken, perfectly spiced tofu bites, and wontons that elevate it beyond a typical tea shop. The riverside location next to a peaceful creek makes it an ideal escape for leisurely sipping or a quick grab, with an atmosphere that's equally welcoming whether you're meeting friends or settling in solo.

The tofu bites were delicious! It was spiced so well, and the sauce was delicious. If I was just rating the tofu bites I would hands down give this place a 5 star. The boba drinks were pretty mid. They said the avocado boba had real avocado in it, but it tasted artificial with a hint of real avocado. The taro was fine, it was icy which made it taste more like a slushy than a smoothie. The boba was flavored well, but it was a little too chewy for my personal taste. I will be back for the tofu bites, but I will pass on the drinks. Solid 3/5 stars.

Stopped by Tea Bar after hanging out by the little creek in the back of the strip. I have wanted a fruit tea for the last couple days so it was nice that the joint was conveniently in the area. Walking in, the joint is cute! There's a little shelf of stuffed animals and other little toys. There's two carts by the register full of treats and different variety of ramen noodles. I appreciate their menu board being front and center. They have it all categorized for you. Milk tea, fruit tea, slushies... And below each category are your flavor options. I got a strawberry and lychee fruit green tea today. The gal that helped me was really sweet! She got my drink all rang up and asked if I wanted any boba. I decided on some mango jellies. I was very excited for my fruit tea! They smashed out a couple orders that were a head of me. Before I knew it, my drink was ready. I did notice that my drink was dark, richer in color than I'm used to. I was kinda nervous to drink it but man was it good! You can taste the flavors! It's sweet! There was a slight bitterness from the tea but it didn't overpower the drink. And you get a ton of jellies on your drink! I ended up going back to the creek and enjoying the rest of my drink there. I don't know if I'll be in this area again soon. I'll be heading towards Millcreek this week so I have a whole new area to check out. But if I do make my way to the Sugar House area again, I will make sure to stop in and grab another great fruit tea!

Easily the best boba in Salt Lake City! I’ve hopped around to a bunch of places and keep coming back here. The drinks are consistently great and the vibe is awesome. Loved the snacks too—wontons, scallion pancakes, and fried sweet potato were all good. Just note their default sweetness runs a little sweet, so I order less sugar. Still my top pick for boba and vibes.

This spot has some of the best boba smoothies, slushies, and teas around. The drinks are delicious, refreshing, and perfectly sweet. Even better—it’s right next to a peaceful riverside, so you can sip your drink under the trees and just chill. A must-visit for boba lovers!
