Crema's Take

This beloved North Phoenix donut shop wins hearts with its owner's genuine warmth and personal recommendations, whether you're grabbing a massive apple fritter or letting your kids loose on their fruity pebbles and cheesecake varieties. Their signature maple bar lives up to the name with a noticeably special recipe, and those $3.99 donut combos make for an easy weekday stop that feels genuinely family-friendly rather than just kid-tolerant. The traditional coffee takes a backseat here—come for the exceptional donuts and the kind of personal service that has people raving about their first visits.

The owner was there when I came in early Saturday. Very friendly and helpful with picking out donuts. My kids loved the apple crumble, fruity pebbles and cheesecake. The blueberry bear claw soooo good. The owner said they change the flavors. I think this is my now go to donut place. Sorry Bosa!

Wow! What an amazing place! The donuts were delicious! I was recommended the apple fritter and man, it did not disappoint!! It was huge and scrumptious! The customer service was outstanding! They were out of the strawberry frosted donuts and the nice lady behind the counter offered to make my 4 year old daughter a fresh one! She was so excited!! Thank you for the amazing service and products! We will be back!

Today was my first time visiting Mr. Maple Doughnuts. I went to the location closest to where I live off of Greenway Rd in North Phoenix. In all honesty, I was impressed. I asked the nice lady behind the counter which two donuts she’d recommend. I ended up going home with the Old Fashioned Maple doughnut including the Maple Bar Doughnut. Out of the two, my favorite was the Old Fashioned Maple Doughnut. I’ll definitely stop over there again sometime. Great customer service and great quality donuts.

The $3.99 donut combos seem like a good deal, but it only includes half the donuts, mostly the bad ones. Fancy donuts cost $3.75 each with no deals. The coffee was weak and tasteless and the coffee area had bus station vibes. Maple donut was worse than Safeway. Another bad donut shop.

Mr. Maple 🍁 is the perfect name for this donut shop. The owner was personable and recommended the maple bar as they have a special recipe for their maple topping. Sure enough it is noticeably better than other shops. Compared to the popular Asian donut chains, the raised donuts are lighter and the glaze is not as heavy. This is a nice change.
