Crescent Counter

201 Baronne St, New Orleans, LA

★★★★★4.6(231 Google reviews)

Crema's Take

Tucked inside the Wyndham Garden hotel, Crescent Counter is a sleek modern coffee bar that takes its espresso seriously, pulling excellent shots into lattes that locals genuinely rave about. They partner with Black and White Coffee from Raleigh, NC, and pair those carefully crafted drinks with thoughtfully made pastries and a small but quality breakfast menu that goes beyond the typical coffee shop fare.

I had an iced latte and croissant sandwich. Both were very tasty and reasonably priced. For both is it was about $20. Actually one of the best lattes I’ve had in a while. They have a good amount of seating. Because I had my dog, I sat in the hotel lobby (attached) and ate. People were really friendly and attentive.

They moved locations and are located in the Wyndham Garden hotel. The coffee was excellent and the food was even better. They only have a handful of breakfast options but we tried two of them, the breakfast croissant and burrito. Easily the best coffee shop food we’ve had through our stay in New Orleans. They were pretty quick with our food and drinks, very friendly and I wish it wasn’t our last day in town so that we could come back tomorrow!

After being criticized for my simple order, I watched staff do everything from wash dishes to refill bottles before making the worst breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Employee even took a personal call before pouring a black coffee. $20 for two bagels with “sausage and cream cheese” and a side of bad attitude. Look elsewhere.

Paid $7.15 for THIS! Ordered caramel latte, didn’t taste much caramel flavor and coffee overall wasn’t the best. Asked for light ice but ended up just getting 3/4 of the cup. Disappoints me when businesses really cut down the on quantity just because of a small request. Would go somewhere else. Update: These people are located near the lobby area in the Wyndham hotel. My husband and I were walking back from our night out, the owner was there and apparently recognized us from our review above. He pulled us aside and took us back to the cafe to “talk it out”. His wife kept saying that we should’ve asked to get the coffee remade, stated they have the best coffee in town and they apparently have are “expected to have a line out the door at 7am” (btw there was no one to be seen in the cafe the next day lol). They also went on to say how my 1 star review was negatively effecting their business. They said coffee would be on the house the next morning. As a customer I have every right to give my honest opinion about a place I’ve visited. They were criticizing us for it instead of taking it as a training opportunity for their employees. The owner saw us checking out of our hotel the next morning and didnt care to invite us into the cafe for a coffee as he mention the previous night. Really bad approach and definitely NOT PROFESSIONAL. Good luck to them

I loved this place! It’s a sleek, modern coffee bar in the middle of NOLA. Best of all, they serve Black and White coffee from Raleigh, NC! I got an Americano and a pastry with egg in it that was very tasty and filling. The place was empty at 7:30 when I was there but it seemed to have great vibes. I would definitely make the walk here if you are staying nearby. It’s better than your hotel’s coffee!
