Crema's Take

Kakao is a hidden gem for chocolate lovers, offering an impressively curated selection of dark chocolate drinks where you can actually sample and customize your chocolate intensity level before ordering. The spacious, serene environment feels almost contemplative—one reviewer compared it to a church combined with a coffee shop—making it ideal for leisurely sipping rather than rushing, though service consistency seems to vary depending on the day. If you're seeking rich, artisanal chocolate-forward drinks made with care, this understated spot is absolutely worth seeking out despite its low-key signage.

Wanted to try this hot chocolate place that found on Google Maps. The drink was good but the customer service is bad/unfriendly. No greet or smiles when I walked into the cafe. Low energy vibes. We asked the guy at the register for recommendations but he responded with no smile “depending on what you like. “ We came to this place for the first time and we don’t know anything about their menu. I knew right away this was the place I won’t go back for another drink…

Delicious sipping chocolate. The signage helps keep this place a bit under the radar but it is worth stopping in if you like chocolate based drinks. Clear simple menu. Nice airy space. Wish I had found it sooner.

A church combined with a coffee shop. The barista was friendly and suggested the mocha. It’s really rich and tasty with the whipped cream. Overall nice ambience. I would come back again!

If you like dark chocolate especially mochas, this place is special. You can choose your level of dark chocolate as they allow you to sample. Good environment, service and one-of-a-kind dark chocolate offering.

Nice espresso. Surprised by the size of the space and the nearly complete emptiness at 8am. Barista was very nice, but could easily get overwhelmed if there was more than the 3 customers in the 30 minutes I was there. They were out of every mocha option besides one when I went.
