Crema's Take
“Hangover Easy brings a playful, irreverent energy to Cincinnati brunch culture with creative drinks like Bloody Marys rimmed with hot Cheetos and a full bar that punches above typical diner fare. This local Ohio chain excels at the whole experience—animated service, fun menus, and satisfying breakfast classics like French toast that keep regulars coming back to both their Cincinnati locations. It's the kind of place where you can linger with friends or family over a quality coffee drink and actually enjoy the vibe around you.”

HangOverEasy is a small, local Ohio chain of brunch diners, founded in Columbus and currently operating in a half-dozen locations. They feature a full bar and a menu full of hearty breakfast and lunch items. Their latest location happens to be down the road from my house, so my family and I stopped in recently for breakfast. I started with the "Fire in the Hole" bloody with vodka, Bloody Mary mix, a Flamin' Hot Cheeto rim, banana peppers, and celery. This was pretty spicy, so definitely order one if that is how you like it. They also offer several other Bloody Marys, along with several mimosa options. My wife couldn't pick between the mimosas and was happy to find a flight option, which allowed her to sample three of them. For breakfast, I really enjoyed the chicken & waffles. The chicken is battered with buttermilk and hot sauce and is served with spicy maple glaze on top of a full buttermilk waffle. I would absolutely order this again. The serving size was huge, which was also to be said for the other dishes that my family had, like the omelets, frog eyes (fresh-baked biscuits smothered with local sausage gravy), and a huge double stack of buttermilk pancakes. You will not leave hungry!
11/24/25 My husband and I stopped in here after I had a procedure and we were both craving something wholesome and satisfying. After checking out reviews on Yelp and Google and having a local recommend it, we knew we had to try it. And wow, it did not disappoint. I ordered the Philly omelette and my husband got the Frogs Eyes, plus a side of stuffed pancakes we absolutely did not need but definitely wanted. Everything was incredibly delicious and so filling. The flavors were spot on and the portions were perfect for exactly the kind of comfort meal we were searching for. Our waitress , Raegan, made the experience even better. She was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Service was quick, the vibe was retro and unique, and the food hit every mark. A solid 10 out of 10. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a satisfying, delicious meal.
I was in town visiting family, and before I headed back home to Indy we stopped here for brunch, what a fun place! I had a very tasty Bloody Mary, rimmed with hot Cheetos which was fun, then for my main course I had eggs Benedict with chorizo and a very tasty side salad! I can’t wait to go again! Check this place out!
Absolutely LOVE this chain! I’ve been to both Cincinnati locations, and they’re definitely not restaurants to miss out on. The fun menus, animated servers, and delicious food make every visit worth it. If you go, I 110% recommend the chicken and waffles and the French toast latte — both are incredible! A special shoutout to Murphy, our bartender, who was hilarious and kept great conversation going, and Julie (the GM), who made sure our experience was perfect from start to finish. The Mt. Lookout location in particular is super spunky, quirky, and eclectic — I love the atmosphere and can’t wait to go back next time I’m in town!
UPDATE: I received gift cards from hang over easy a bit after this. I finally went the other day and the food was delicious. The French toast, sausage, and fresh fruit. The cold coffee beverage were also good. The service was impeccable. I’ll be back. My party of 4 had to wait a little over an hour for food in a restaurant that currently occupied 8-10 people. Once our food arrived my avocado toast bread and egg was lukewarm and the other person in our party wasn’t asked how she liked her burgers cooked (not completely the servers fault) however it’s something you should be taught to ask in the service Industry Once she received a well done burger to replace her old one it was not right didn’t have any of the ingredients she wanted except for the mayo on the side. I want to knowledge this is the restaurants only first or second week, but I think an apology for the wait or have one of the items taken off would have gone a long way. Overall a good atmosphere, just the service, and food is lacking. I’ll be sure to see how they are doing some months from now and see if anything changes and if it did I’ll surely edit this review.
