Crema's Take
“Core Coffee & Eatery is a thoughtfully designed neighborhood gem where barista Deana's latte expertise shines through every cup, especially their celebrated white mocha that keeps customers coming back. The intimate space radiates a relaxed, homey vibe complete with vintage touches like a rustic door detail and cozy outdoor seating, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a welcoming living room than a typical coffee shop. Beyond espresso-focused drinks, their avocado toast has earned serious praise for its perfect execution, making this the kind of place where coffee, food, and genuine hospitality come together seamlessly.”

Core Coffee & Eatery has a really beautiful atmosphere. The space feels thoughtfully designed and welcoming, though it is a bit on the smaller side, so seating can feel a little tight during busy times. The drinks were a highlight. Both the coffee and the matcha were well made and enjoyable. The food, however, didn’t quite match the quality of the drinks or the setting. It wasn’t bad, but it felt a bit lackluster compared to what the space and menu promise. With such a nice environment, the food just left me wishing for a little more flavor and care in execution. Overall, it’s a lovely spot for coffee or matcha, especially if you’re looking for a cozy place to sit and cowork or study, but the food didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience.
This place is so cute.. and so good! Love the relaxed vibe, especially with some Fleetwood Mac playing in the background. Their avocado toast is 🔥 and probably the best white mocha latte I’ve had. 10/10
Deana is absolutely amazing. The avocado toast has the perfect flavor and consistency that I needed. Smells like northern California in here. Feels like home and I am in love her latte making skills!!
I ordered vanilla latte. For service and atmosphere alone I’d rate this place a 5. Outside seems a fun haven with pillows on a bench, cute rustic touch of interior door placed on top of a glass pull door. Inside is an open space with comfy couches and a raised section where people can sit and mingle or work, sort of like a mezzanine. There’s a community board by the utensils/condiments table against the wall. Lots of live plants around that give the space its haven feel. There’s owner Deana who is very warm and friendly. We chatted our way about her shop in a community that is developing. She greets everyone knowing their names and complimentary of everyone that really makes their day. First visit here in Kansas and I absolutely love the people and you feel pride of community as shown by the locals hanging out at this coffee shop. See you again Deana for sure!
Great little shop in a beautiful neighborhood! The owner, Deana, was the absolute nicest and made my iced latte absolutely perfect! The space is very cozy and welcoming. I could sit here all day with a good book. Highly recommend!
