Crema's Take

Iris BookCafé wraps you in a genuinely cozy embrace with floor-to-ceiling books, a hidden courtyard oasis, and espresso drinks that actually deserve the attention—their cold brew and maple brown sugar latte are standouts that keep regulars coming back. I truly have no other words to describe this place other than "lovely". The decor is books, coffee, and comfy seating. It's perfect in so many ways. The cold brew coffee was excellent, and the staff members were caring and kind. Worth the stop for the coffee and the ambiance. The books here are mainly used, and there were a few BOGO sales going on when I went. I highly recommend this place to any book or coffee lover! 📚☕️😁 Hidden gem status, for sure. 💎

Amazing. I review a lot of cafes and this place is a vibe. Great books, an amazing courtyard/patio and a fantastic Maple Brown Sugar Latte. My visit was exquisite and I will return.

Iris Book Café is an absolute gem—perhaps the most unique and memorable café in Cincinnati! ☕📚 From the cozy book-filled atmosphere to the charming courtyard in the back, this spot is truly special. I stopped in between real estate appointments with Harmer Home Team and couldn’t have picked a better place to recharge. My mocha dirty chai iced was the perfect mix of bold and sweet. The pumpkin bread was delicious too! A big shoutout to Jay, the barista, who was so sweet, informative, and personable—she made the experience even better. I especially loved sitting out on the beautiful patio, where I had the chance to chat with two other customers who were also enjoying the afternoon. It was a real treat to talk about some local events—a truly neighborly way to spend an hour on a perfect spring day. If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind café experience in Cincinnati, this is it. Highly recommend!

Clean, quiet & adorable place! I wish I would have known about this place when I was in school and needed places to study. My vanilla iced latte is delicious & the husband loves his drip coffee.

This is an adorable book cafe with plenty of shelves of books, seating at hightops, tabletops, and even a booth. There are more books and more seating available in the back as well. A counter for ordering a bite and/or drink. Healthy vegan options. I had a veggie hummus sandwich with banana peppers and red bell peppers on multi grain bread with avocado slices because I love avocado! Danny’s salad had too many onions but looked delicious. D had a Tempe sandwich that looked pretty tasty too. Oh, the peanut butter cookies…yummy!
