Crema's Take

This beloved Tacoma institution has cultivated a genuine tea culture that draws regulars back again and again, with an impressive selection of unique flavors and brewing vessels that go beyond typical café fare. The welcoming owner and kind staff have created a rare third space where you can linger for hours or grab something quick, and the thoughtfully curated new location even features local artwork that adds to its distinctive charm. Unique spot with a variety of teas for purchase. I liked the wide variety of flavours available, special sugar, tea pots & cups! Would have liked to have a unique tea pouring experience though. Not sure if one has to specially request it...🤷...as there were customers that received such an experience. Anyway, it was nice to discover this special corner of Tacoma!

This is my home away from home. I absolutely love this place to sit and chill and meet people from all walks of life. Tea culture transcends coffee culture because there is something special about sharing a pot of tea over a stimulating conversation. The views of the Foss Waterway, the East 21st Street Bridge and the Murray Morgan bridge are some of the best in the city. Oh, and the sound system. Many places have tiny fatiguing speakers that become annoyances to the experience. Not at Mad Hat Tea Co. the music and sound quality are superb. It really adds to the joyful experience. Check it out.
