I was working and I went in there to find out about lunch and I attempted to ask what time lunch starts. I waited really patiently and when I asked her, the lady yelled at me pretty much screamed at me and told me to go get in line. I don’t need to be talked like that. I was pretty damn nice and that place sucks. I told the manager, and he did nothing as far as I know. That place sucks I’ll never go there again unless you wanna get yelled at. And I worked in a restaurant for 20 years so I never spoke to anyone like. In response to the owners response: I appreciate that you looked into it. Two facts And not opinions: There were two customers standing right next to me and they said wow you did not deserve that. So I don’t think that they would say that based off of my perceived “aggression”. I was waiting. I’ve been waiting patiently , and I said pardon me excuse me may I ask a question and before I even finish the sentence, she literally yelled me not over the machine loudness, but out of anger and said go get in line. And I said I just wanted to know what time lunch was served. She ignored the question and said just go get in line. I wasn’t ordering anything. I just had a small question and I said excuse me and I said it nice. And after being yelled at, I didn’t make a scene. I just simply walked over to you the manager and shared what happened A bit upset. The second fact is another employee i was working with also went in there, and she said that she also got spoken to very rudely without question. And this is the nicest girl I know who went in there. So when I went to you, I was obviously upset. And I shared that with you, now you’re gaslighting me by saying my reaction to being treated poorly was deserved because I had a reaction after. So that’s wild. That’s the definition of Gaslighting or no? It seems accountability and kindness is not on the menu.
Today was my first time here. I was very pleased with the coffee the best I had for me, better than Dunkin donuts and Starbucks . My croissant with eggs and bacon and cheese was very good. I would definitely go back but next time to sit and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. Oh! And the young lady that waited on me was absolutely nice and very respectful as well as the gentleman that prepared my food. ❤️💯
My partner and I had lunch here and got the half soup half sandwich option. Pretty reasonable price, I love my roasted butternut squash soup though my tuna salad sandwich was a bit underwhelming. The atmosphere was nice, would definitely come back.
This café is a hidden gem! With its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, it instantly makes you feel at home. The lattes and coffees here are a treat – delicious and surprisingly affordable, making it a go-to spot for your caffeine fix. Although the food menu may seem a bit pricey at first glance, each dish is a culinary adventure, boasting creative and exceptionally flavorful options. For those situated in the commerce buildings or the surrounding area and looking for an alternative to Paganos, this café is worth exploring. It offers a unique dining experience that’s sure to impress.
The DuJour has been my first choice for having breakfast when I visited Phili. After trying it once it had established itself for me. The restaurant is nice. Always offers a good choice of music. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast menu is not huge but everything is freshly cooked. The French Toast is very rich and is definitely one of the best I ever tasted. The omelette as also a fantastic choice. The only small complaint one might find is a missing free coffee refill.
