Crema's Take

O Billiard Cafe is a vibrant San Diego pool hall where the tables are the main attraction and the staff genuinely make you feel welcome, whether you're a seasoned player or picking up a cue for the first time. Beyond the competitive tournament-style play, it's a surprisingly social spot perfect for groups—just arrive early or reserve ahead since tables fill up fast, especially on weekends. The relaxed vibe, light bites, and beer selection make it an easy place to settle in for hours of unhurried fun with friends.

Great pool hall. Some "notable celebrities". Serve beer, and snacks. Upbeat, not like a few places, where there is a lot of fun . Tourney style pools, professional.

Nice spot for some billiards with friends. Went on a Thursday evening and had to wait for about 30minutes for a table to open up. Priced by the hour. You have to wait inside if you want to play, you can’t leave your name on a waiting list or anything. Worker gives you the balls once it’s time for your turn, return all balls once you’re done playing. Parking can be hard to find since there’s multiple stores in the area that seem to be popular as well.

I wanted to like this place but you have to be careful if you’re a first timer. As soon as you walk in (being my first time here) the staff quickly pointed at a table and gave me my ball set. I didn’t pay first or they didn’t even say the different prices to which tables. You get to find out what you pay when you get done playing, so be mindful of the difference in prices. They have basic tables and diamond tables. Other than that this place does have nice tables and nice music. So it was myself and a partner (2 people) on a diamond table. So it’s not $8 a table, it’s $8 dollars a person for that table. So I had to pay $16… my mind still is having a hard time grasping this logic.
