Crema's Take
“Tucked away on Cascade Avenue, Édeske Patisserie is a beloved Hood River gem that treats coffee as a companion to their real star: exceptional pastries and cakes crafted with local Hood River Valley fruits. The cozy, unhurried atmosphere and genuinely warm staff create the perfect setting for lingering over a specialty drink, whether you're meeting a friend or celebrating a special occasion. Fair warning—the quality comes with a price—but regulars swear the flavors and freshness are absolutely worth every penny.”

It opens up at 9. Great staff friendly atmosphere. But be prepared to spend a couple extra bucks. Good location down on Cascade avenue and 6th. It's a really nice cozy place.
This review is long overdue as I should have written it about a year ago, however, I finally remembered! I ordered a cake from the Edeske team for my parent's anniversary and wanted it to be similar to what they ate on their wedding day- lemon poppyseed. We chose to do lemon cake with a blueberry compote of some sort (and truly, "compote" isn't the right word and certainly doesn't do the silky blueberry topping justice.) It was out of this world tasty!! My parents were so touched by the sentiment and were raving about how fluffy and airy the cake was with the moist icing between the layers and the blueberry being perfectly sweet. Thank you Edeske team! I can't wait to order more delicious desserts from you in the future!
From the very first time we visited Édeske, we fell in love with their desserts and knew they would be part of our wedding one day. Tamara, James, and their team went above and beyond, crafting a stunning dessert table, our wedding cake, and brunch pastries for the weekend. The assortment of macarons, petit fours, tartlets, and choux buns was curated to reflect both our personal favorites and beloved classics, all while feeling refined, elevated, and reimagined. Our wedding cake was a visual masterpiece and a symphony of flavor and texture. Édeske brought such creativity and care to every detail, and we wholeheartedly recommend them. We are so lucky to have this gem in our neighborhood. Their pastries and cakes are always delicious and fresh and use the many local fruits from the Hood River Valley. They have really expanded their offerings, added coffee service and will be extending their hours. It’s a ‘must stop’ in Hood River!
This is a fantastic specialty chocolate shop. It's a little pricy but we'll worth the experience. The flavors explode bringing pleasure with every bite. Even if you just visit once it's a must do experience for lovers of chocolate. Presentation is eye popping. Staff were great. Highly recomend.
