Crema's Take

The Cracked Kettle is a wonderfully curious spot where the coffee expertise runs deep—baristas here will teach you tricks like the 15-second espresso sit that actually changes the game—and the experience extends far beyond your cup, with spiritual items, handmade teas, and sourced pastries from local bakers creating an unexpectedly layered visit. People drive an hour for their beans and rave about creative signatures like the spicy hot chocolate and iced lattes, while the rotating selection of fresh pastries and impressively oversized bagels mean there's always something new to discover alongside your drink.

I just learned something I never heard before in my life. You want a GREAT espresso drink? The gentleman at the Cracked Kettle explained that if you let espresso sit for 15 seconds after brewing without adding sugar or milk or drinking it, it turns bitter. Read that again. When he was trained by a major coffee company many years ago (before they installed the $20,000 espresso machines), that was one of the first principles he was taught. Patronize this place.

This is a favorite of my friend who drives an hour just to get the coffee beans. I’ve had the several of the varieties of coffee and they are all delicious. Mar 2025.

I absolutely love the iced lattes and the spicy hot chocolate! I used to get a Rose and Cheesecake flavored iced latte but cheesecake has been discontinued. The food is from a local baker and inclusive of people with allergies, I like the pastries myself 😀

An enlightening experience. Went for the coffee but stayed to wander the aisles and take in the deep selection of spiritual items. The staff were friendly, happy to answer questions and make recommendations.

Been to the crck kettle a few times but every time I came. It's something new like their pastry are really good along with the bagels never seen such big soft bagels before. But they have hand made teas which are so good. I'm not a big fan of black teas but when I found they did herbals I had to try them and I would have to say the triple goddess is my fav so far but their coffees are on a hole different level with the different flavors I couldn't help but try them all and I have to say I love the Satan's mistress the most. Will be coming again even if just for coffee.
