Manito Park Bench Cafe
1928 S Tekoa St, Spokane, WA
Crema's Take
“Tucked inside Spokane's beloved Manito Park, this cafe is a hidden gem that locals seek out for genuinely well-executed lattes and fresh, quality food after exploring the gardens and walking trails. The shaded outdoor seating, dog-friendly policy, and occasional Friday night live music create the perfect excuse to linger longer than you planned, making it feel less like a coffee stop and more like a destination within a destination. Staff enthusiasm varies, but when they're on their game, everything from the creamy espresso drinks to the avocado toast hits that satisfying post-adventure sweet spot.”

The Park Bench Cafe, located inside Manito Park, offers food, coffee drinks, and ice cream. The view is lovely and some days they even have live music. I ordered the avocado toast. It was reasonably priced at a little over $8. It has avocado, feta, and a balsamic glaze. Yum.
I can tell the food quality really depends on the staff. Last weekend in July, I went there in the morning, and the two girls working were awesome. I ordered a veggie panini, and it tasted so fresh and delicious ( second picture) . Today, August 9, I went in the afternoon and ordered the same veggie panini (see first picture). The food was cold and unappetizing—just filled with olives and hummus. The staff seemed busy chatting and served cold bread instead of grilling it. I requested to grill it again .
A hidden treasure. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was yummy - hit the spot after a long walk thru Manito. They even gave our puppers a treat too. Seating was relaxing and shaded. A bucket list item for Spokane.
We went to the Park Bench Cafe where there is live music from 6-8 on Friday night. It was fun listening to the music and chatting. Then we walked to the Rose Garden and Duncan Gardens which were both beautiful. The weather was especially nice and pleasant!
Wow, the latte is so amazing, very delicious and creamy! It is so hard to find a place that knows how to make a decent cup of latte and I just found one in a park cafe!! The huckleberry ice cream was also delicious, it was not too sweet. They have a quiet outdoor seating area as well, where you can enjoy the serene view🥰
