The "swaggy vibes" and fantastic frog drawings create a warm, creative atmosphere that draws people back whether they're settling in with a laptop or meeting friends, and their drinks—both traditional and specialty—are made with real care by people who clearly take pride in their work.”

There are so very many options on hampshire campus for food and drinks but the kern is my favored choice.
My favorite place on campus. Lovely staff, great managers. Tasty vegan scones and fantastic frog drawings.
The Kern Kafe was DEFINITELY a welcome addition to the "Cafe Culture Desert" that was Hampshire back when it was just the Dining Commons, The Prescott Tavern & The RCC's Bridge Cafe. 👍
As a perspective student I was very disappointed to find that the Kern had very little to offer and that the service was rude and condescending to boot. My iced Latte came with no ice and my friend's coffee was not only half way filled but it was also cold. When I politely asked the staff to fix it I was met with snarky remarks and refusal. Definitely never wasting my time there in the future.
