Crema's Take

Nestled in New Orleans, this charming café strikes that perfect balance between a serious coffee destination and a welcoming neighborhood gathering spot where you'll actually want to linger for hours. The kitchen takes real care with their food—think hearty wraps with proper portions, silky roasted garlic and asparagus soup that'll make you emotional, and full breakfast spreads that go beyond the usual café fare. It's the kind of place where families settle in for unhurried conversation over a proper cup of drip coffee, making it feel less like a quick caffeine stop and more like a genuine escape.

I was craving a wrap and my friend suggested just the place. We ordered the chicken spinach and the California togo. Both were well portioned and delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more!

I ordered a Southwestern Chicken Salad at I'd say it was a 7.5 out of 10. The roasted chicken was the same as it would have been on a sandwich niether a plus or a minus but it did lack any substantial spice I'd have liked for a Southwestern salad, the tortilla strips were homemade rather than store bought and unfortunately they lacked any flavor and were not crispy but rather soggy and sad. The southwest ranch was also rather lackluster for me in terms of flavor. As a whole the salad greens and veggies were very fresh and refreshing and the salsa had a great flavor and spice that I found missing in the dressing. I would definitely go back to try something else on the menu.

The Tale of Drip(ping) Coffee: During a recent family outing, we decided to stop by this charming café for a delightful cup of coffee and some snacks. Situated in a lovely location, the café boasted a serene ambiance, and the staff welcomed us with warmth and courtesy. They were incredibly helpful in guiding us through our snack choices, which we thoroughly enjoyed alongside our flavorful and aromatic coffee. However, there was a minor hiccup that caught me by surprise. As a right-handed individual, I only noticed halfway through my coffee that the cup was chipped quite noticeably, causing the coffee to slowly leak out. It was a comical moment when I finally realized it after switching hands. While this small incident brought about a moment of laughter, I couldn't help but think it might be worth a gentle reminder for the café owners to inspect their tableware. Everything else about our experience was wonderful, and I look forward to returning soon. Despite what happened, I still give a 5* and would not hesitate to go back to this restaurant.
