Crema's Take
“This Richmond spot is a Southern breakfast destination that goes beyond the typical coffee shop formula, earning genuine devotion from regulars who rave about carefully made biscuits, proper sausage gravy, and an impressive roster of both classic and creative coffee drinks. The open kitchen lets you watch the care that goes into each plate, while ample seating and a peaceful vibe make it equally welcoming whether you're lingering solo with a specialty brew or gathering with family on a weekend morning. Fresh ingredients and attentive service keep people coming back, especially for that signature homestyle maple coffee alongside their show-stopping chicken biscuits.”

My 1st visit, but definitely not my last. The food here was fresh and amazing! And the service was fast and friendly. This is not your everyday, run of the mill breakfast spot. Highly recommend trying it out.
Delicious! We tried several dishes and everything was great. Plenty of seating on a Saturday at brunch time. So many yummy coffee options. Orders are called out based on your answer to the question of the month - adorable and great conversation starter! Watched an employee offer a delivery driver a cup for coffee while they waited on a cold morning. Will definitely be back.
The sausage gravy tasted okay since I personally like some chunks of sausage in my gravy. The biscuits are big and my eggs were cooked perfectly. The fresh orange juice and coffee were great. The staff was friendly, especially Karen G that took the time to go over the menu since it was my first time there and made recommendations. She was phenomenal.
I stopped by Maple Street Biscuit Company and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. I ordered one of their chicken biscuits along with their homestyle maple coffee — both were absolutely delicious. The biscuit was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The maple coffee was rich, smooth, and had just the right touch of sweetness — definitely a standout. The ambiance inside was warm and inviting, with a cozy, welcoming vibe that made me instantly comfortable. Honestly, I prefer it over places like Starbucks. There’s a more personal touch here that makes the experience feel special. One fun and unique thing they do is ask a “question of the day” when you order. Instead of calling out your name, they call out your answer — it’s a fun way to keep things private while also sparking conversation. The question during my visit was: “What subjects can you teach in school?” I said gym and history — and it was a fun surprise to hear that called out when my food was ready. All in all, I really enjoyed my meal and the overall experience. I’ll definitely be back!
We stopped here on a Sunday morning soon after they opened. Easy to find with ample parking. Inside was clean and peaceful. I enjoyed the open kitchen concept that you can see them cooking and preparing the biscuits that are made fresh. I love the "question of the day" that switched things up when they called out your answer when your food was ready. We had a breakfast bowl and the sausage and gravy. One bite into the bowl and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients right away. I enjoyed how light and airy the biscuits were, reminding me of my grandmother's growing up. Oh and I can't forget the maple iced coffee, just enough sweetness to balance out the coffee just the chef's kiss to the whole experience. Definitely a place we will be visiting everytime we are in the area.
