Crema's Take

Cafe Beatrice is a relaxed Somerville spot where creative coffee drinks like the tiramasu latte share the spotlight with genuinely excellent pastries—their cinnamon rolls and inventive bagel sandwiches with unexpected flavor combos (think kalamata olive cream cheese) keep regulars coming back. The vibe strikes that perfect balance between cozy enough to linger with a laptop and welcoming enough for casual meetups, with friendly staff and hidden nooks of seating that make it feel like a neighborhood secret. What really sets it apart is the genuine care in both the food and drinks, all at prices that won't leave you wincing.

The bagel sandwiches are popular here. They are good size and filling. The staff is pretty friendly and the atmosphere is nice. There is more seating in the back which you don't notice readily. They also have outdoor seating in the front for nice days or you can take your food outside in the back and sit by the small water feature. Overall a nice location, nice atmosphere, and it is near the T.

Their cinnamon rolls are amazing! My birthday is coming up, and I had the intention to only get the tiramisu latte. But then, with Roxy, I got inspired, and she asked if I had tried their roll. I mean! "Nope. I hadn't yet!" Best pre-birthday dessert 🍪🎂 ... Run! And then there's the cozy decoration, couches, but also high chairs. Work or not. It's all about casual meetings, catching up with oneself or else.

This place surprised me with really fun flavors. I want to go back to try the different pastries. I got a tomato and cheese brioche. It was full of cheese, which I loved. The sun-dried tomatoes added a nice richness. I wish there was a bit more bread, though. I really want to try the chai banana bread or the Earl gray cookie!

This is one of my favorite coffee places in Boston! It's much more reasonably priced than a lot of places; I got a latte and monkey bread for $10. I also love that there's both indoor and outdoor seating and there's the park to wander nearby too.

Really nice bagels! I tried their kalamata olive and caramelized onion cream cheese. I prefer olive over the onion. Bagels felt fresh. They have a few other great breakfast options (a few vegetarian options too). Their hot chocolate and latte are just average. Nothing much to say. I'd still go for their bagels and other breakfast options.
