Crema's Take

This downtown Tampa spot pulls off a genuine fusion of Vietnamese pho and Asian bowls with a coffee program that locals rave about, particularly their Vietnamese coffee that's earned comparisons to the real deal. The vibe is unhurried and welcoming—perfect for lingering over a matcha tea or catching up with friends—though the kitchen's consistency seems to dip during holidays, and pricing runs a bit steep for what you're getting. Staff like Recie make all the difference here, bringing real warmth to an otherwise casual neighborhood spot that punches above its weight on flavor.

Broke for lunch from jury duty and found this spot. Highly recommend it. Best Vietnamese coffee I have ever had. The chicken udon was fantastic. If your in down town Tampa I highly recomend it.

Recommend not eating here on a holiday. I came on MLK day and noticeable difference in presented food from other visits. Goyza was greasy, soggy, and not hot. Grilled pork was tough and not hot. Noodles were cold. It seemed obvious they were using food that was just left over and reheated as it only about 4 mins to get our food after ordering. It is a shame because normally when its seems food is freshly which is what should always do for your customers. Holiday should not make a difference in how you prepare and serve customers. Disappointing for a normally good place.

The matcha I had was good and a good value compared to some of the popular chains. I had the seafood pho. Broth was very good but the presentation, everything in one bowl; the tradition with pho is that the condiments such as bean sprouts, basil etc are placed in a separate plate. For me, I like my bean sprouts undercooked and the basil completely uncooked. Those choices were taken away in this presentation. Also a minor nitpick: the seafood pho was described as containing shrimp and crabmeat. The crabmeat was imitation crabmeat. That's not a problem per se but the description was misleading and not transparent. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl on July 1, 2025 and it costs a whopping $14.75 with no sides and no drink included. For that high of a price, they should include an egg roll, crunchy noodles, and a soda. Overall, the taste was bland and flavorless. It’s mostly a bowl of white rice. They don’t put any seasoning or sauce on it at all. If it’s called “chicken teriyaki”, then it should have teriyaki sauce or something on it. But they serve it plain with no flavoring. The cuts of chicken are fatty with gizzards like bourbon chicken. And the store has no air conditioning. Sarku Japan at the mall tastes way better and costs less.
