Yum-Yum Snack Shop & Cafe
1107 McKelvey Rd, Simpsonville, SC
Crema's Take
“This charming Simpsonville spot in a lovingly restored mill house serves up honest, satisfying breakfast and lunch fare that punches above its weight, with standout items like their chicken salad and homemade desserts that keep locals coming back. The owner and staff genuinely care about making your visit special—they'll treat your pup to a snack, remember regulars, and create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that feels more like visiting a friend's kitchen than grabbing quick food. It's the kind of place where you linger over coffee, let the kids play with the toys, and leave thinking you've discovered something real.”

The lady's are very nice, the food is basic but good. And they have fantastic desert. The lady loves dogs an she give them treats.
I miss seeing the owner here, the lady who worked in there as well as the older lady woman with short black hair got my sons ice cream wrong, didn't say nothing just gave us the treat with a blank stare and then seemed bothered that we were even in there while my kids where trying to figure out what to get. Keep in mind they close at 3, with over 40 mins left after, no one else was in there and we got out afterschool down the rd at 2:19 and they seemed annoyed that we came in. Another Previous unwelcoming experience, they already don't want to serve food saying the kitchen closes at 2:30 but the previous time we came but we had plenty of time around 1:30 we showed up a few months back, even for a cold sandwich. Why offer it then on the menu? Might as well change their time to 2:30 since they don’t want to serve people 40 mins before close. They weren't welcoming at all. Especially when the cashiers kid came, those two perked right up but acted so indifferent to us. I guess it depends who they know they’ll care. It was a disappointing experience.
I loved my first experience here. I brought my 3 year old after spending some time at Cedar Falls Park. He enjoyed a hot dog after playing with a coupe of cars they had there and I had a delicious house made pimento cheese sandwich on thick soft white bread with chips and crudités. Great spot and a gem of a lunch place. The owner is so kind and genuine and her staff is so welcoming.
Insanely cool little place! I saw this in the area, so I had to try it. It’s a breakfast and lunch place, not a coffee shop, but it was insanely good. I got a breakfast sandwich, and it was so good. The staff were absolutely amazing and fantastic, and they really put the craft into the food and the place. Don’t be fooled by the name because this place is amazing to go to, and I will be coming back for sure when I’m in the area again! (FYI this place has an amazing drive thru that I highly recommend!)
Out and about looking for a local place to stop and have lunch. The Yum Yum did not disappoint. The chicken salad was off the chain. We loved the way the mill house was renovated, it is very inviting and just makes you feel at home.
