Mondos Coffeehouse
995 Nord Ave, Chico, CA
Crema's Take
“Mondos is a straightforward neighborhood spot in Chico where you can grab a solid espresso drink and surprisingly satisfying breakfast sandwich without pretension or a hefty bill. The bagel sandwiches, especially their Trinity, have earned genuine loyalty from regulars, and the kitchen moves fast enough that your food often arrives before your latte. It's the kind of place where "simple but delicious" sums up the whole philosophy—early hours, no fuss, just reliable coffee and breakfast done right.”

I got the breakfast burrito with sausage not a lot of flavor but for the price I’m not complaining also bought a bottled orange juice would come back to try something else
Stopped by to get breakfast and lattes to-go. Breakfast was shockingly done before our drinks, but those came out shortly after. Service was good, breakfast was simple but delicious, and coffee was decently good. Breakfast might be a little overpriced for what it is, but I’d probably pay it again because it was fast, hot, and yummy. Seating is a little awkward and tables seemed a little dirty and/or rundown, so the atmosphere wasn’t exactly inviting otherwise I would love to come and do work here. Solid to-go spot.
Good food, horrible customer service. When you advertise you will be open until 3:00 you should be open until 3:00. My boyfriend came in for me to pick up some food an hour before closing and they refused to make a sandwich despite being open for another hour. Horrible lack of customer service and show poor management of in the business.
The best bagel sandwiches I've found in Chico so far! I usually get the Trinity, and sometimes add an egg to it for an extra dollar. I've only had their espresso drinks, which I find to be tasty but nothing super special. I do enjoy the vibe as well. A very chill place to sit in a corner and get some work or studying done. All of that said, this place offers a space for those with developmental disabilities to gain work experience with a competitive wage. It's well worth supporting, and while I've personally always had excellent service there, I think anyone complaining about their service in the reviews should be keeping in mind that it's a work training program. This info is posted on the Mondos website and in the cafe itself. In any case, I highly recommend checking it out and grabbing a sandwich, if nothing else. Some have complained about pricing in these reviews, but I promise you that these are pretty average espresso drink and breakfast/bagel sandwich prices nowadays, as much as I wish that weren't the case.
So I came here hoping for the lower price I saw in a picture review, the prices are double for the breakfast sandwich, BUT it is super yummy, so I can't complain. Just hoping not to spend 20 on a drink and sandwich today. Posting a updated picture of the menu.
