Uptown Joes New York Diner
710 N Tampa St, Tampa, FL
Crema's Take
“This beloved neighborhood diner earns its loyal following with generous, made-to-order breakfast and lunch fare like fluffy omelets and hearty sandwiches, backed by genuinely warm service that keeps regulars coming back for years. The pleasant, unhurried vibe makes it equally perfect for a solo coffee break or lingering over a meal with family, though consistency with food execution varies enough that you might want to call ahead on your first visit. What really sets Uptown Joes apart is the kind of staff—like their standout employee Nana—who remember your order and treat every table like old friends.”

The bacon and ham were tasty. I did not like being served cold syrup that felt like it’s kept refrigerated.
Amazing food! Amazing service! Very convenient location! The music here is pleasant! Nana is amazing!!! She is such a kind person and does such a great job! This world needs more employees like that!!
I’ve been here in Tampa since October and this has been one of my GO-TO’s since then! The food has been great i usually get the Philly cheesesteak omelette but today I had the Mexican omelette and it was great!! I’ve also had the Alfredo and the wings all of which have never let me down! If you’re in the Tampa area and are looking for a great place that’s open all night please check them out! You won’t be disappointed!!!! And a special shout out to Daysha!!! She was our host and she had great customer service and was also very helpful in helping us choose the menu options!!
Don't even bother. Online menu and pics are misleading. Food was not good at all. First we order a salad and a turkey.BLT. 20 plus minutes later they tell us they don't have lettuce. Okay, cancel the salad and bring the sandwich. 20 plus minutes more, oh, we don't have turkey so we made a turkey bacon BLT. Not what I wanted. My daughter ordered some pasta and chicken dish, DRY.as can be, no sauce or cream and it was to be an Alfredo. My Granddaughter ordered the stuffed salmon (with crab). Not sure what it was stuffed with but it was mystery fish. Server with mash potatoes that looked like paste. Bottom line, don't bother.
Went here last year after an afternnon performance at the Straz and had a very good meal. This year, meh. While my husband and granddaughter's choices were very good, my corned beef and pastrami on rye left much to be desired and did not live up to NYC deli standards. For starters there was not two meats in it and it was dried out to the point of being more like jerky. There was barely any cheese and it wasn't Swiss. No sauerkraut and the bread was left on the sandwich press a little too long.
