Harold's Koffee House
8327 N 30th St, Omaha, NE
Crema's Take
“Harold's Koffee House is a beloved Omaha institution since 1968 that nails the classic diner experience with genuine warmth—think vintage teal and orange vinyl booths, friendly service that actually smiles, and a no-nonsense approach to breakfast that locals swear by. Their made-from-scratch pastries and donuts are worth the early arrival, and the solid, unpretentious food (like their standout Sweet Cream Pecan Waffle) keeps the place consistently packed with both regulars and visitors hunting for something authentically great. It's the kind of place where you can linger over coffee or grab a quick bite before work, and either way you'll feel like you've discovered something genuinely special in the heart of the city's historic neighborhood.”

Great diner breakfast! Great atmosphere! Super fast and friendly service. We got in a little late to get a cinnamon roll, but was able to grab an I house made donut and it was fantastic.
Authentically the best diner in Omaha. It's not even worth discussing. Serving great food and smiles in the most historic area of the city since 1968. Fun Fact: you can enjoy your "Koffee" in the same booth where they filmed Jack Nicholson in the movie About Schmidt.
I’ve wanted to try this gem for years, and it lived up to my expectations! I imagined it to be a quaint greasy spoon diner with yummy, no-nonsense food—and it was! From fun blue vinyl/leather seats to windows galore, and friendly staff, the environment was inviting, a place you want to return to. I ordered a quarter pound burger and pumpkin cookie with delicious cream cheese frosting based on the server’s recommendations and was pleased with the taste. I also remarked that I hadn’t been before and was gifted a free donut as a first-timer! I’ll be back even without a free donut😊
Recommended by Fooligan Eats. The diner was clean and bright on this very chilly morning. Vintage colors of teal and orange. Breakfast this morning was their Sweet Cream Pecan Waffle and holy wow! I could smell it before it landed on my plate! Choice of one egg and three different meats so I went with eggs over medium with links. Food service was very quick. Wait staff wasvery attentive to ensure my coffee mug wasn't more than half empty. Flavored creamers would have been a nice option as well as real sugar instead of sweetener. Not a deal breaker. The waffle was big n fluffy with a generous portion of chopped pecans. It was the sweet cream batter that was the star. Rich, smooth, and subtle that didn't compete with the maple syrup but you could still discern it with every bite. I will definitely return!
Had some friends in town, and being relatively newish to Omaha, this was a breakfast place that’s been on my list. Think of breakfast diner, but the food is solid! Looks very popular w the locals. The biscuits and gravy were well made with gravy galore! The three of us all agreed this place is worthy!
