Society Skatepark & Coffee
583 Scott St, Memphis, TN
Crema's Take
“Society Skatepark & Coffee is a genuinely rare find where quality coffee and community collide under one roof, serving as both a genuine third space for skaters of all levels and a refuge for coffee lovers seeking something beyond chain shop anonymity. The baristas clearly care—one reviewer raved about a tattooed barista who took real time crafting their drink—and the energy around here feels earned rather than manufactured, whether you're watching kids light up during their first skateboard lesson or settling in with a well-made cup. With an all-day drop-off option for young riders and late hours (open until 10 PM), this place has carved out something distinctly Memphis: it's family-friendly without being family-focused, welcoming to non-skaters, and genuinely invested in getting people excited about what they're doing.”

I took my daughter for a free lesson today. She had a blast. Her instructor was genuinely excited for her when she got the skill he was showing her which made her even more excited. Great place!
This place was perfect for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re just learning or already shredding. The indoor setup is super clean and well-designed, with plenty of space to ride. The owners are really friendly and make everyone feel welcome. Plus, the coffee is legit! a great bonus while hanging out. Definitely one of the best spots around!
Not a skater so I didn't take part in the skatepark but I indulged in the coffee and it was what I needed. The tatted guy working the bar was so nice and and friendly. He took his time crafting my latte and that's always appreciated. There are also lots of homemade pastries made by the owner's wife. I had the Krispy treat and it was delicious. It was quiet and we were the only people there but I could see a vision for this place for parties and hangouts. I definitely recommend.
One of the most amazing places if your kids skateboards or BMXs or roller skates and I think even scooters they have a all day drop off they drop off at 8:00 in the morning and they're open till 10:00 at night and most nights and the people there are amazing Daniel the manager helps the kids out with their work and stuff if they need to if they're going to School homeschooling or just need help tutoring it's a complete community outreach program we try to get with all the kids and make sure everybody's okay they even have a membership monthly membership where it's only $5 to get in and it's $150 a month I think that's right and you get a free deck once a year and there's other benefits towill and Christina the owners are amazing Christina makes all the food and they're just amazing people up there and the kids that go there are really awesome too and there are some of the most amazing skateboarders there I would love to start naming off but if I said one that has to say them all but Jordan is one of my favorites you've done so good Jordan yay my daughter goes up there she's she's only 12 but she looks like her name is Layla and I drop her off sometimes in the morning when I have to work she loves it she gets her school work done and she gets to hang out with the kids that she loves and do what she loves the most which skateboarding I totally trust environment up there I totally trust them to make sure that my daughter is safe when she goes and gets dropped off an escape game is phenomenal they're even thinking about starting to push for more girls to skateboard there's always somebody up there video in or taking pictures and just turning out amazing amazing things these kids are so talented I don't understand why they're not all famous yet or most of them aren't famous yet can't say enough good things about it really can't if there is a place to give 10 Stars I would give them society skatepark kicks butt and I love them and I'm so appreciative that they're there to make it easier to be a single mom raising a 12-year-old daughter in Memphis
I was looking for a coffee, other than coffee shop chains, and found this one. So I dropped by to grab a coffee. The place is cool. They have a skateboarding thing inside. So there are a lot of folks hanging around with a skateboard. The staff are awesome. The coffee was good. I got a slice of brownie as well. It was crunchy and decent. I wish if it would have been a little less sweet! But mostly, everything is great
