Crema's Take
“Hala Tree Coffee is a working farm and educational hub where you can walk among actual coffee plants on complimentary tours, then taste hyper-fresh brews made right there in a French press on their welcoming lanai. The team here genuinely cares about sharing their craft—whether you're sampling a flight of their own Kona roasts, taking a paid brewing course, or just hanging out with the resident pups—making it feel less like a tourist stop and more like visiting passionate coffee farmers who happen to love what they do.”

We loved this tour! Everyone was so inviting, and we loved all the pups, and the coffee samples. It was so informative, and the coffee was absolutely the best. We purchased the 1/2 flight and it was perfect. If you're thinking of doing this tour you absolutely should. You won't be disappointed.
Very pleasant experience! We had a wonderful coffee farm free tour :) almost private as it was conducted just for us and another couple. We learned a lot about coffee plantation, harvesting and roasting ;D The ambience was friendly and welcoming and the surrounding magnificent. Later on we could buy the coffee tasting option and drink the coffee on a terace with a view on the ocean. Highly recomended :)))
Very cool place to visit. GREAT experience. Amazing coffee to try and unique. You can try multiple coffee blends and roasts off of samples from a French press. It is made there and extremely fresh. In my opinion natural, peaberry, and SL 34 were the best ones to try. OVERALL great coffee and experience.
Overall, we had a great experience at Hala Tree Coffee. The staff were engaging and funny. We went on the complimentary coffee farm tour and the paid brewing course. Both tours were fun and informative. We learned so much information about the processing of growing, producing, and brewing coffee. I think what stood out about these tours was the friendly staff. Kat and Margaret took great care of us and were so funny. I love that the coffee store had trial-sized bags for the adventurous souls who want to try all the flavors. The small bag also makes perfect souvenirs for the coffee connoisseurs in your life.
This tour is great - free tour, it's fairly quick. Their plants look nice and you get a good sense of how they pick, different processing methods, and what exactly a Kona coffee is. The lanai where you can do additional tasting has an amazing view down to the ocean on one side and up the slope full of coffee plants on the other. They are not shy with the samples when you come in and after the tour. There are also tons of different options for purchase in the store -- and now both of our families are getting lots of coffee as presents. We liked our three half tastings, all good!
