Rodeo Coffee Shop
535 5th St, Clovis, CA
Crema's Take
“This Clovis spot trades pretension for genuine neighborhood charm, serving up hearty breakfast fare and traditional coffee drinks in a cozy setting that locals clearly claim as their own. The kitchen shines brightest with omelets and breakfast sandwiches built to order—think customizable bread choices and generous fillings—though service can feel stretched during peak weekend hours when the place fills up fast. It's the kind of place where a friendly waitress becomes part of the experience, making it equally suited for a solo coffee grab or lingering over breakfast with friends.”

Honestly, the food is what the kids would call very “mid.” Our plates took a very long time to arrive, and even people who were already seated when I walked in were still waiting for their food. The first girl who greeted us was great. I appreciated that she checked in on us. Unfortunately, the waitress wasn’t as pleasant. While we were eating (we like to take our time. What’s the rush?), she came by to ask how the food was. We said, “It’s good, thank you.” She then responded with, “Well, it looks like you haven’t even touched any of it.” That comment was unnecessary. Overall, the experience wasn’t great, and I wouldn’t come back. I’d rather go to Sandy’s.
Very good food. The waitress was efficient and friendly. She even laughed at my attempt to be humorous.
Wanted to try a new place so we decided to come here. We were greeted promptly and our order was taken. I had the sausage breakfast sandwich. You get to choose what kind of bread, how you want your eggs cooked and choice of meat. The sandwich also comes with hash browns or potatoes. Let me tell you, the food did not disappoint. In fact it was damn good. The sausage was country style which had excellent flavor. My husband had a 2 eggs type of breakfast with potatoes and biscuits & gravy. I tried some of his and the flavor was spectacular. We usually go to another spot every weekend, but I think this place just became our #1. Reading all the reviews prior I had some doubts, Im so glad we took a chance. We will definitely be back. Here is a pic of my sausage breakfast sausage. To add the toast bread was cooked on a grill because it had the consistency of a grill cheese crisp.
We got the bacon egg omelette, hash brown and substituted the English muffin for a pancake. The food was great. The water was straight tap water not filtered, so it tasted like chlorine. My husband and I shared the food and we were both full once we were done. My first time here and I absolutely loved it. As well as the environment and the decorations.
I stopped in Rodeo Coffee Shop on a Thursday morning it was not busy. I bet on the weekends it is hard to find a seat.I ordered the 3 egg Denver omelette it was stuffed with ham, onions, bell pepper, and cheese it was good and big it did not disappoint. It came with hash browns and I chose the biscuits and gravy the biscuits and gravy were really good. The servings are big and hardy so go with an appetite. The service was really good with a smile and always ready to pour another cup of coffee for you. I will definitely have to go back and try others that looked so good as they passed on to the tables.
