Crema's Take

Oak Ranch Coffee Company is a bustling spot known for creative signature drinks like their White Chocolate Macadamia "North Shore" and indulgent blended coffees that lean toward the sweeter side. The extensive menu spans from specialty lattes to matcha tea, and their pastries—especially the coffee cakes—are genuinely worth the premium pricing, though the shop moves fast with a consistent line and grab-and-go vibe. Come for the inventive seasonal flavors and excellent pastry pairing, but manage expectations that their bolder coffee profiles may lean lighter than traditional specialty roasters.

If you like sweet coffee their blended coffee is the bomb! Most people get their coffee to go. They have in store or online ordering. There is seating but it's much more enjoyable to grab your coffee and walk around the premium outlets outdoor mall. I've never had a line when I arrive.

I really wanted to like Makenna’s, but after multiple visits, the experience has been consistently disappointing—especially given the pricing. For a coffee shop that charges more than Starbucks, I expect better drink consistency and customer service. Even when I order the same drink regularly, it’s never quite the same. Because of this, I now order it extra sweet with an extra shot when I get a large, since that seems to reduce mistakes. Unfortunately, even then the drink is often either too milky or not sweet enough. When I’ve politely asked for my drink to be adjusted or remade, the response is uncomfortable at best. Instead of a friendly, “no problem, we’ve got you,” the baristas tend to hesitate and insist the drink was made correctly. That defensive attitude makes it awkward to speak up, even when the drink is clearly off. Another issue is staffing. It often feels like there’s little to no experienced supervision on site. The staff frequently appear inexperienced and more focused on chatting than on drink quality or customer service. Having a more experienced lead barista or manager present would likely make a big difference. The space itself is trendy and cute, but good aesthetics can’t make up for inconsistent drinks and poor service—especially at premium prices. I hope the owners take this feedback seriously, because with better training and leadership, this place could be much better.

Crazy busy. Line out the door; and we asked, yes it is always like this. Trendy, faddy and confusing menu. They played retro 80’s music which was cool. The coffee was not bold, no matter how many shots you add. I had a pistachio americano, that lacked any coherent pistachio flavor. Ok for the coffee buzz if you can navigate a very large and confusing menu. CritDicks

Extensive drink menu, we got the Maui latte and The Legend, they were both good but their pricing is on the higher end. What's really good are the pastries especially the coffee cakes! We happened to arrive just in time before the crowd did so we were able to get our drinks and pastries within 10 mins

Coffee: I went for the North Shore hot drink! White Chocolate and Macadamia nut...absolutely amazing flavor! We also had the Pumpkin creme spice latte, and the Caramel Apple Pie hot drinks. All drinks were great! Service: Barista's were super busy and on point with all of the drinks being made. There was a line out the door...and they were able to keep up. Atmosphere: Everything is new...so looks great. We'll have to see if it still looks the same in a year or so. The decorations are lively and fun! Military Friendly: They offer a discount for Military. I'd imagine they offer the same for Police/Fire personnel as well. American with Disbilities Act (ADA): Not the most friendly inside the store tables or outside on the picnic tables. There's nothing labeled or specified for ADA. However, there is handicap parking and easy access to the coffee shop.
