Crema's Take

Tucked away in Charlotte, this game-filled coffee haven blends specialty drinks with an unexpectedly sophisticated vibe—think soft jazz, board games, and wine alongside expertly crafted coffee. Staff genuinely know their stuff and light up when helping guests navigate both the menu and the massive game selection, making it feel less like a transaction and more like hanging with knowledgeable friends. Whether you're lingering solo, on a date, or bringing the whole family, the warm atmosphere and thoughtful details (hello, physical menus) create the rare kind of place where you'll want to stay for hours.

AMAZING GEM OF A PLACE! The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the games and could answer any questions we had. Did I mention they are super friendly? And they had such a nice variety of games, alot of new games too. Stumbled in for a quick stop and ended up staying the whole night.

Had a great time at Mother of Dragons, I really appreciate that they had a physical menu in addition to the barcode menus on the tables, though some mocktails or a wider selection of sodas would have been nice. The atmosphere was fantastic and they had plenty of different seating options. Once the business is more established we hope to see their pricing for tables and rental change though to be a little more streamline, simple, and possibly affordable. Right now the best option is to bring your own game whether it be DnD, Catan, or a classic/favorite.

MUST TRY gem if you like games, wine, and/or immaculate vibes. Makes for a great date spot, but could easily be fun for the whole family or large groups. We popped in for their soft opening and had the place to ourselves. You can tell every detail of this place from The rental game selection, private party tables/rooms, to the retail space and the f&b menus has been chosen with intention and care. The owner walked us through the space and coached us through 3 new board games from the rental library. We had a blast just the two of us but the kind staff really made the experience! Their charcuterie board was very filling and impressive. Paired GREAT with the wine and beer recommendations - ty to the sommelier who was onsite for the opening week! Will absolutely be back and look forward to attending some special events as well.

Man oh man! What an absolute gem! I tried it on my lunch break and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. Soft jazz was playing over the speakers and the employee was so helpful and friendly. I got a chair tea and it was nice and spicy and creamy. I tried the grown up grilled cheese and a pumpkin pastry. All were so good. I’ve already made plans to go back with some girlfriends for girls night to partake in some wine and board games. At my age, that’s the kind of outing that interest me now lol

Such a cool place for the whole family! Yummy food and drinks, and so many games to choose from. The owner and staff are also so nice. We played scrabble, drank wine, and I left with a new Hello kitty monopoly. Can’t wait to come back for one of their gaming events.
