Ugly Duckling Maine

Folks were really great and understanding, there was an error with our ordering App and they were still super friendly and willing to follow through. We didn't get a chance to stay and pickup on the atmosphere, but the bakery was cozy and gorgeous. Very happy to deal with an understanding busines especially so close to closing time. Really appreciated.

Loved this place! Breakfast sandwich was excellent. Truffle hash browns were INCREDIBLE. Coffee was perfect. Cream puff of the day was the best cream puff I’ve ever had in my life. Atmosphere and decor were cute and everyone was lovely!

Be aware if you order a breakfast sandwich the meat may be undercooked. I am posting this review to encourage people to double check the meat. The server was very nice and took my plate back to the kitchen to inform the chef. Perhaps they will take this as a learning opportunity and do better from here forward and it won’t be a problem for you, The coffee was delicious I’d go back for a drink.

A must visit if you’re in Portland! The breakfast sandwiches on the homemade English muffins were absolutely incredible. We ordered the specialty brown sugar honeycomb lattes and it was absolutely amazing. Ended up stopping here twice on our trip! It does seem to get pretty busy in there and the tables are on a first come, first serve basis. The staff was very friendly despite being very busy!

We had breakfast to go many times here but finally went in and had breakfast at the bar. The staff were all so friendly and playful. We had the dirty tots, No.2 and a croque monsieur. We also ordered six of the english muffins to go to share with my in-laws that we were seeing later. The food was simple but tasty. The only thing I’d pass on next time is the garlic mayo on the dirty tots (as it upset my stomach). But both sandwiches were very good! If you are in the area, this is a strong choice, they’re also known for their coffee and iced coffees.
