Izzy's Coffee House
976 Haywood Rd, Asheville, NC
Crema's Take
“Izzy's Coffee House radiates genuine warmth through its vintage-charm aesthetic—think creaky floors, worn velvet chairs, and morning light that hits just right—paired with baristas who clearly know their craft and take pride in pulling excellent shots. The shop nails that sweet spot of being a true neighborhood gathering place where the staff remembers you, the music taste is impeccable, and a quality oat milk cortado feels like it's worth every penny, even if you'll pay a bit more at the register than expected.”

Izzy's Coffee House is a wonderful local spot that immediately makes you feel welcome. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always greeting customers with a smile and creating a relaxed, inviting experience. The atmosphere is comfortable, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making it a perfect place to catch up with friends, get some work done, or just unwind with a good cup of coffee. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the service and the overall vibe, which makes it a place you’ll want to return to again and again.
Only been here once so far, but I will definitely be back. Not the best bagel spot I’ve found in town, but I loved the merch (bought a mug) and the environment inside. Service was a bit slow with seemingly only 1 person behind the register and it wasn’t very busy, but I didn’t take too much stock in that on the first visit.
Best coffee shop in Asheville for excellent coffee, creaky floors, great taste in music, - worn edges vintage chairs and just right sunshine in the morning- baristas are excellent, my oat milk cortado is always perfect. I think this place is magical ~~The little yellow house. Recommend the bagels and flavored cream cheese- all is right with the world when you crunch into an everything bagel with habeñero cranberry cream cheese & stare off into a painting//real cool
I used to really like this coffee shop, but my last two visits were very disappointing. The person behind the counter were rude and acted as if they were doing us a favor by making our coffee. The barista didn’t even call out our order — just left the cup sitting at the pickup counter. They seemed busy, rushing through orders without much care. We ordered lattes both times, and they were overheated and tasted only slightly better than gas station coffee. I wish this place had higher standards for both coffee quality and customer service — it used to be so much better.
Cute place, good coffee, friendly staff. The $5 latte is $5.35 after tax in October 2025.
