Her Alibi

I went to go get my hair fixed and it turned out pretty terrible. I asked to get back to a medium brown and I got a super red brown I have never had red undertones in my life. To top it off I felt like my service was rushed and I ended up leaving with multiple splotchy blonde spots on my head that I could not see until fully dried after I left, she gave me a rough blow dry and called it good. Do not recommend.

First time client to Her Alibi looking for a nice layered cut on my long hair. I needed a good trim and was looking for a relaxing afternoon. I went to Lacie and I’m just not sure this haircut was executed well. The layers are choppy and not very well tapered. The whole appointment felt rushed and I wasn’t impressed with how it was styled. I hesitated posting this but I’ve just seen a picture of the back of my head and I am unfortunately not impressed.

I’ve been coming to this salon for several months now for acrylic nails and waxing, and the consistency is amazing. My acrylics always come out exactly how I want! Hannah has always given me the best shape, smooth application, and they last without lifting. She always takes the time to make sure I’m happy with everything! The waxing services are quick, professional, and as comfortable as waxing can be. The salon is clean, the staff is friendly, and I love that they even offer coffee. Great for the days I forget to grab one on the way. Reliable, welcoming, and great quality every time. Definitely my go-to spot and highly recommend!

I’ve been debating whether to post this, but ultimately I feel like I need to warn others. I started getting acrylic nails at Her Alibi this past summer. The first time Jade did them, and they looked absolutely horrible (attached photos). She never once asked me if I liked the shape or anything. She’s very nice and easy to talk to, and I really wasn’t paying much attention. At the end, I was pretty shocked at how they looked compared to what I asked for. I sent the manager a message and they got me in a few days later. They didn’t schedule enough time for a new set, and Hannah even said that she would have liked to start over but didn’t have time to soak them off and redo. Hannah did a much better job, but I still think they charge way too much. Last month, I went out of state to get married and got a whole new set at a salon there. The nail tech was appalled at my nails and discovered i had ”the greenies” on multiple nails. It was only visible when the old acrylics were soaked off. It took the other tech quite a while to remove the nails from Her alibi. The tech kept shaking her head the entire visit and made me promise not to go back. I was embarrassed that I’d been going as long as I have. To top it off, Her Alibi continues to raise their prices but I don’t see where the nails are getting better.

I am from miles city and was in helena for training. Came in to get a hair cut and relax after a busy long week. I had lacie who was friendly. salon was beautiful and pretty clean I came in around 8am for my appointnent. Reason why I gave 3 stars was due to just a few things. I read there reviews on there coffee and batista area and wanted to try it. While in the salon chair I was never asked if I wanted anything nor even saw there menu so I'm not sure if they are still offering this service. Lastly when I got my hair cut it was uneven and I went back and cut the sides a bit to even it. Overall once styled it wasn't bad. Felt like it was just a very quick service and a bit rushed. I like the set up just wish there was a bit more communication and services offered. Which I am kind shy so that could also be my fault for not asking alot about it. Stylist was pretty quiet but sweet and chill. Overall decent experience. Update: went in for my hair to be fixed. I had faith who was very sweet. Communicative. Listened and taught all while fixing my hair. Faith had lacie watch to see what fine touch ups she did to blend my thick hair. Faith made me feel so much better about my hair and more confident for my work photos tomorrow. When I'm back in helena again I will most definitely come back to her. Changed my 3 star review to 5.
