Crema's Take

Grand Brew is a charming cash-only spot where skilled espresso work and perfectly steamed lattes pair with surprisingly affordable prices and top-notch pastries that locals keep coming back for. The intimate space has an unexpectedly magnetic warmth—reviewers mention chatting with the owner and feeling genuinely pulled in despite being in a hurry—making it feel less like a quick caffeine stop and more like stumbling onto a genuine neighborhood gem.

First off, the prices were sooo good for coffee and pastries nowadays!! But it is a cash only business. The coffee blend was very tasty and the latte was steamed perfectly. We got a white chocolate latte and a mocha and the chocolate for both was high quality. The pastries are handmade by the owner daily who is Italian. The cinnamon roll was the perfect blend of gooey cinnamon roll and sticky bun. The shop is a little small but here was several tables to eat at. The owner had a large collection of cool antiques and memorabilia there as decoration and he would love to chat about any tha pique your interest. You can tell the owners put a lot of love and care into this craft.

This quaint little coffee shop has top notch pastries. I have stopped past there 3 times attempting to try the cannoli but they are always sold out. About 2 years ago the owner told me in jest that the cannoli was the reason that he married his wife. Well I finally managed to aquire a cannoli today and it didn't disappoint. If you are ever in Mt. Washington enjoying the view, stop by the Grand Brew. You won't regret the choice.

I didn’t have a lot of time and wasn’t planning on stopping in. However, something about this shop just pulled me in, and I have no regrets! I grabbed a hot cocoa, sat down, and chit chat with the owner. Hot cocoa was phenomenal, one of the best I’ve ever had, and the owner was the sweetest guy ever! Stopping by made my day, and I left very satisfied! I will be going back next time i’m in town, and have been recommending this shop to anyone who’ll listen! The atmosphere is so comforting, Grand Brew is a great place to find yourself in Pittsburgh!

Cute cash-only little coffeeshop a short walk from a stunning viewpoint of the river. Some high top table seating and low tables, but a bit cramped for a hangout spot. Fast and friendly service. Delicious gooey chocolate chip cookies and good drip coffee.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ [⭐️] This place is the closest thing to the coffee shop in friends, central Perk. Plus way cooler. But you walk in there to a group of the most talented and interesting group of friends and instantly you feel like part of the gang. Its a very unique and special place. That place is LOADED with all the good stuff. Good company, unique antiques, amazing conversation, oh and not to mention the most amazing coffee, tea and pastries! The dirty chia is the best ever btw ;) Mission - TOD THE GOD is to be visited by everyone who reads this review! Whos that? Stop into grand brew to find out.
