The Breadboard Restaurant
744 N Main St, Ashland, OR
Crema's Take
“The Breadboard Restaurant is a beloved gathering spot in Ashland where locals and visitors linger over generous breakfasts and better-than-average coffee on a scenic patio, though be prepared for weekend waits and the occasional inconsistency in execution. The cheerful, attentive staff and family-friendly vibe make it worth the visit, especially if you grab a table on the patio to take in the beautiful views from the parking lot—just maybe skip the Eggs Benedict and opt for their reliable omelettes instead.”
What to expect
Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, outdoor seating spot, good for meetings. Full breakfast, pastries, and light food on the menu. Family friendly. Parking available.

I was a little surprised to be told there's a 10 to 15 minute wait for a table at 12:30 on a cold Wednesday in December. About eight minutes later I got a text my tablet was ready, but then it was another ten minutes before my drink order was taken, five more minutes for my food…
I chose the eggs benedict because it was labeled as a customer favorite. It was honestly the worst one I have ever had. The hollandaise sauce tasted off. The home fries were good at least. My husband got banana nut pancakes, which we normally love, but these tasted like medicine.
We heard a lot of good things about this place, so we decided to stop by. Parking lot is on the side of this restaurant, and the view from the parking lot is very beautiful! The restaurant is small, warm, and cozy. Menu is very simple, but still have variety. We ordered…
While the view is great from the patio, the service was just okay and the food left something to be desired. Even if I had not substituted bacon on my Eggs Benedict, it was the most pathetic one that I have ever seen. My boyfriend’s supposedly “hot” pastrami sandwich did not…
Helpful, cheerful, friendly staff, very attentive. Omelette was good. Better than average coffee. Patio eating area outside. There’s still an egg up-charge as of a week ago, though store prices have come down, not so sure it’s necessary anymore, but forewarned is for armed.
