Half & Half

Was in the area and decided to treat myself to brunch on a weekday. First time here and I was not disappointed. I found a meter parking directly in front of the restaurant. Service was great and my server helped with making recommendations. Can't wait to return for another visit!

Huge portions, good food, chatty staff. Seemed like the waitresses knew just about everyone in the joint, either that or they were just super friendly. Food was good with a lot of different options you don’t see in every other brunch place. Easy walk from the hotel made it a nice stopping spot. I’d recommend it, for the unique options you won’t find at other places. Wife loved her latte.

The food was top-notch. I ordered the Ham and Gruyere Omelette, which was perfectly cooked and savory, and the Stuffed French Toast, which was the perfect sweet follow-up. Everything was fresh and flavorful. A huge shoutout to our waitress, Kim. She was awesome—super attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a great brunch spot in the area with excellent service, this is it!

I'm giving a 5 star mainly for the delicious matcha latte and blackberry cheesecake stuffed French toast. Eggs, bacon, and the breakfast potatoes were great also. The breakfast fried rice is also a must try if you visit! My only complaint was that they had plenty of chairs outside but didn't bring them in to add to the tables. Only until we spoke with the hostess and told her we were willing to sit in a booth did the waitress go grab an extra chair from outside for us to use (we had a party of 5). I think it would do them good to buy a couple of outdoor heaters so they can maximize the seating outside during the winter. Overall the waitress was very attentive to our needs and we got our drinks and food very quickly. The food was very excellent too. I just think they could make better use of their outdoor space and do a bit better to get parties seated more quickly.

Half & Half in Clayton is easily one of my favorite brunch spots. The food is always fresh, creative, and satisfying. I’ve tried several dishes over time and have never been disappointed. The pancakes are fluffy and rich, the chorizo and eggs are packed with flavor, and the coffee is top-notch. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, and the staff is consistently friendly and attentive without being overbearing. There’s usually a wait on weekends, but it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
