Brash Coffee

One of my favorite coffee shops. Staff are usually attentive and good at making drinks. Small space. Lots of free 15 minute parking outside, so easy to pop in quick for a drink.

I’ve been trying to support local businesses and have been buying whole-bean coffee from Brash Coffee for a while. I like the coffee, but I was disappointed by a recent change. About 20 days ago, I paid $22.87 (incl. tax) for a 340 g bag. Today, I paid $23.96 (incl. tax) for the same coffee, but the bag size was reduced to 250 g. After doing the math, that works out to roughly a 42% increase in price per gram in less than a month. I understand that costs go up, but this combination of higher price and smaller package was a surprise, and it’s a much bigger jump than I expected. Because of that, I don’t think I’ll continue buying whole beans here going forward.

I’m a bit of a matcha snob and I can honestly say this is one of if not the best matcha lattes I’ve ever had. (With a tiny bit of vanilla sweetener too is just 🙌🏼). I’ve had 3 now to make sure it wasn’t just a coincidence before leaving this review. The baristas are clearly very well trained and know what they’re doing! Plus they’re always very friendly and welcoming. The spot is super cute and lots of outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

I'm very cute coffee shop in a shipping container. Got a small iced mocha for $6.36. Friendly staff, cute decor. Coffee was alright but the place is very cute.
