Laika Cheesecake & Espresso
4718 Broadway St, San Antonio, TX
Crema's Take
“Laika is a cozy neighborhood spot where really good espresso drinks meet an impressive roster of creatively-named cheesecakes in jar-sized portions that won't leave you in a sugar crash. The vibe is unpretentious and welcoming—staff greet you warmly, the pastries are perfectly balanced in sweetness, and you can tell they care about quality without taking themselves too seriously. Whether you're grabbing a quick iced latte with a slice of Tiramisu or settling in for a meeting over their signature creations like Picnic in Space, it's the kind of place that feels like a genuine neighborhood discovery.”

Lovely and considerate cheesecake and espresso shop. They offer a delicious variety treats that can cure you workday blues. The cheesecake have just the right amount of sweetness and I love the little jars they come in. Its the perfect size.
A fun little dessert shop that doesn't try too hard. I spent ~$13 on a pottle of cheesecake, iced latte, & tip. Flavors are interesting but not experimental, and the quality is nice. Coffee tasted a little cheap but the cheesecake didn't. The seating is not very comfortable and it has more of a "grab n go" vibe than "linger and enjoy".
Laika cheesecake is amazing! The small dishes are a perfect size if you're craving sweet, but don't want to pay later. And the flavors are always perfect. Tiramisu, triple chocolate, picnic in space, and my favorite tres leches. Always fresh, and fast friendly service. The coffee choices are also really good. The cortado is always a banger. 10 stars if I could.
Had to try the New York Strawberry Cheesecake In a jar. OMG!! It was totally worth the wait. The Cheesecake was very delicious. The staff greeted me right away. They were very friendly and helpful. The establishment was nice and clean. The atmosphere was giving coffee house vibes. The setting was cozy and comfortable. Although, I believe that the prices are a bit much for what you actually get, if you're interested in indulging yourself this is a good place for it. I definitely recommend you you at least give it a shot.
The cheesecake was fantastic, with many flavors available, including the original. I tried the Milky Way buffet and the cookies and cream. The Milky Way buffet featured a chocolate cheesecake on top of a brownie, while the cookies and cream had the perfect balance of flavors—not too much of anything. It was definitely worth the cost. The service was outstanding as well. The staff mentioned that the desserts were homemade, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was calm; the lighting was just right, and it wasn’t loud at all. The design and theme of the place were great. Overall, I highly recommend this establishment and would definitely go back.
