Crema's Take
“Carmel Valley Coffee Roasting Co roasts with a thoughtful hand, earning consistent praise from nearly 1,100 reviewers who appreciate both their foundational espresso work and creative specialty drinks that go beyond the basics. The shop strikes that appealing balance between serious pour-over technique and approachable warmth, drawing locals who value craftsmanship without pretension, plus light food that complements rather than overwhelms the coffee experience. It's the kind of place where you can trust the barista whether you're ordering a straight shot or something more inventive.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused, with a pour-over program. Light food on the menu.

See all on Google →Expect long lines here! By 3:30 PM on a Saturday, the wait was significant. It seems to be the central hub for downtown coffee, but the drinks were just okay considering the rush. Also, be aware that there are no restrooms for customers.
Yum!!! Enjoyed the Golden Hour Americano (wished the largest was a little larger) and the Salted Honey Oat Latte. Both enjoyable. Friendly, helpful cashier.
Cute little shop with friendly staff. I had a turmeric ginger tea and my husband had a lemon drop cookie and an iced hibiscus elderberry iced tea. Everything was delicious. We sat outside at a cute little two-top table.
