My family stopped by for pizza and were blown away not only by how delicious it was, but by how kind and generous the pizzaiolo was. You can tell there’s real care put into the pizza and the people they’re serving. The pizzas were fantastic — classic Italian style with great flavor, perfectly cooked, and just really satisfying. Moments like that make a place memorable. We’ll definitely be back.

Total hidden gem inside Bird Rock Coffee. You walk in for coffee and suddenly Francesco is offering pizza, which we had no idea existed here. That turned out to be dangerous knowledge because the pizza is seriously good. Fresh, flavorful, and way better than expected for a spot tucked inside a coffee shop. Francesco was super welcoming and clearly cares about the food. Do not skip the margherita.

Rock Bird Coffee has a cozy, relaxed vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot to enjoy coffee in La Jolla. It’s conveniently located right in front of an urgent care, but once you’re inside, it feels calm and inviting. I ordered the vanilla bean latte, and it was so good—smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. They also offer a nice variety of pastries. I tried the almond croissant and the croquant; both were good, but the croquant was definitely the winner. I’d happily come back again.

Came for the coffee (which was a great iced latte - not overly sweet and could taste the richness of the espresso) and was incredibly blown away by the pizza! True Neapolitan-style pizza, great flavor and perfectly cooked. You won’t be disappointed! I just wish I lived closer, I’d be here all the time. Highly recommend!

Excellent coffee and absolutely exceptional pizza at this location. I would highly recommend the traditional Margherita pizza; great crust and sauce flavor. I had a Monkey Bite espresso and the coffee had excellent body and sweetness. This time, we got the Party Animal pizza and it was also very good with good presentation. The service was fast and kind. It's great to have this style of pizza so close to UCSD.
