Crema's Take

This South Tampa gem combines expertly crafted specialty drinks with a genuine sense of community, making it the perfect spot to linger with friends over a perfectly pulled espresso or cold brew. What truly sets Coffee Uniting People apart is their mission: all 38 employees across their three Tampa locations have disabilities, creating a workplace where meaningful employment meets exceptional hospitality. The baristas here take real pride in their work, whether you're ordering a traditional cappuccino or exploring their creative seasonal drinks, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes every visit feel like coming home.

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with friends ❤️ Came in here to get a pastry and cup of coffee while catching up with an old friend, and will be telling all my South Tampa people to check it out. The staff members were kind and attentive, and I couldn’t love the mission more! I hope to see more of these popping up around Tampa Bay!

After a bad experience at Starbucks on Kennedy Blvd, I chose to go here instead. I made the right choice. The employees had great customer service and made my cinnamon latte to perfection!

I was in the area and for coffee I wanted to try a new place so I searched around me and found Coffee Uniting People(CUP). I read about the coffee shop and their initiative for providing employment opportunities to special needs. I loved their initiative and went for morning coffee at CUP. The atmosphere was pleasant and after discussing i ordered Cinnamon Delight coffee which was really delightful and I loved my coffee from CUP. Everyone should support CUP and it's initiative.

This little coffee shop offers a big boost of coffee combos, several kinds of tea at great prices. All 38 employees in 3 locales in Tampa quality to work here because each one has a disability. Stephanie is the organizer/manager who today works with a Maggie, a delightful Employee who takes all the details of my order. A decaf Americano with a bit of a Roasted flavor is perfect temp served in a cup with hand writer message, mine says "Thank you for coming to CUP." I chose the vegan banana bread loaf, súper moist and Rich. I also took some gluten free chocolate chip banana muffins, full of flavor. From the bakery rack. I also shared a huge m and m cookie and a chocolate chunk cookie with huge chunks, and these cookies were neither gluten free nor vegan: something for everyone. The indoor seating is arranged in several table áreas. Perfect for the fun groups and work Groups who meet regularly. Bagged coffee is available to take home. Stephanie beams that the employees grind and bag the Beans in house, teaching a other useful job skill.

Loved the coffee, we had the small iced caramel latte and a mocha latte . It was our first time at the shop and the baristas are very friendly. The coffee shop hires people with disabilities which is a good idea. We will return for more coffee soon. The shop also has ice cream for the ice cream lovers.
