Blue Hummingbird Coffee and Kitchen

We stopped by for coffee on the way down to LA and it was delicious. What really made our stop memorable was the hospitality Riri showed us. We felt so welcome and seen and like our time mattered to her. Because of Riri we look forward to coming back.

The space is quite large, perfect for studying, and very clean. They also have specialty coffee drinks I haven’t seen around here. So glad I found this great café!

Breakfast burrito was 💣. Also had the blue hummingbird latte and was not disappointed. Ample space to sit and chill or work. Service was amazing!

When you walk into this location you are greeted by very friendly and knowledgeable baristas. I ordered a cinnamon roll iced latte, their cranberry holiday fizz, and the mushroom toast. I normally don't order sweet drinks but I enjoy a cinnamon roll every so often. I got an extra shot of espresso and it was amazing. The holiday fizz was the perfect amount of tart and sweetness and it really is a light drink to enjoy wit your food. Now for the mushroom toast! A slightly toasted piece of sourdough, not too toasted so it cuts up your mouth and not under toasted so the toppings make it soggy. It truly is toasted just right with a nice layer of cashew cream, the mushroom melody is delicious, but what really brings it all together is the very mild spicy chili crunch! If you are looking for a light but delicious lunch I recommend the mushroom toast and cranberry fizz. And there is no shortage of seating. When you walk in it looks like there might just be a small seating area. But once you get in, there are so many places to sit. You have booths, tables and chairs, a large community table and outdoor seating. Lastly, of course they don't only offer you water, but you have a choice of regular water and two different flavored waters. The attention to detail for the customer experience is so well thought through.

Excellent coffee and excellent service. I tried an iced matcha latte on the house today and it was one of the best lattes I've had in a long time. It's their soft launch now and everyone's getting 30% off, as of this writing. Please visit them they're great people over here and the drinks are top notch!
